Friendly reminder: SamStar is still looking for his forever home 🫶🏻
Good with chill dogs and cats, crate trained, fully house trained, good on leash!
He’s the perfect small-medium size at around 35lbs. He’s about 3-4 years old.
This little guy has come a long way from when he first got here and he is more than ready to find his forever family!

He cannot go to a home with young kids as he’s never been exposed to them and prefers predictability.

If you’d like more information or to meet this little guy, send me a message or reach out to Bruno Project USA

She came all the way from NJ to work on some reactivity and obedience. She’s been working very hard to impress her mom when she gets picked up 💪🏻

We still have some open spots for Happy Ratters and Scent Work this Sunday (July 12) if you’re interested in signing up send us a message!

What are Happy Ratters and Scent Work?
Happy Ratters is a fun, low-impact sport where dogs use their natural hunting instincts to locate safely contained rats hidden in cardboard boxes and hides. Scent Work taps into your dog’s incredible nose by teaching them to search for specific odors. Both classes build confidence, provide great mental enrichment, and are suitable for dogs of all ages, breeds, and experience levels!

These classes are very beginner friendly and a fun way to beat the heat while tiring out your dog!

☀️ How to keep your pups safe in this extreme heat warning 🐾

Dogs don’t cool themselves the same way we do. They primarily rely on panting, which means they can overheat much faster than people, especially during periods of high heat and humidity.

Here are a few ways to help keep your dog safe:

💧 Always provide fresh, cool water.
Bring water with you on walks and encourage frequent drink breaks.

🌳 Walk during the coolest parts of the day.
Early morning and late evening are your safest bet. Midday walks can quickly become dangerous.

🐾 Check the pavement.
If it’s too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

🏃 Skip intense exercise.
Fetch, running, and long hikes can wait until temperatures cool down. Try enrichment games, scent work, puzzle toys, or a short training session indoors instead.

🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car.
Even with the windows cracked, temperatures inside can rise to dangerous levels within minutes.

🌬️ Watch for signs of heat stress:
• Excessive panting
• Thick or excessive drooling
• Bright red gums or tongue
• Weakness or stumbling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Collapse

🚨 If you suspect heatstroke, move your dog to a cool area immediately, begin cooling them with cool (not ice-cold) water, and seek veterinary care right away.

Remember: Just because your dog wants to keep playing doesn’t mean they know when to stop. It’s up to us to keep them safe. ❤️🐶

Stay cool and give your pups an extra belly rub from us! 🫶🏻
