💔 BARKLEE IS STILL WAITING… AND NOW HE’S ALL ALONE. 💔

Barklee is a 9-year-old Pug/Lab mix, and today, his little heart is hurting.

He came to the shelter with his best buddy, Milo. They had each other. They shared a kennel, comforted one another, and had a familiar face beside them while they waited for the day someone would finally choose them.

And then… Milo got adopted. ❤️

We couldn’t have asked for a more remarkable home for Milo. As a shelter, we have to do what is best for each animal, even when our hearts ache watching them go their separate ways.

But now Barklee is left behind.

Alone in his kennel.

No more buddy beside him. No familiar face to curl up next to. Just Barklee, waiting and wondering when it will finally be his turn. 💔

And the truth is, Barklee doesn’t ask for much.

He just wants to be near his people. He wants someone to love him, give him a soft place to sleep, and let him spend his golden years knowing he finally belongs somewhere.

Barklee does okay with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. He is showing signs of being house-trained, and more than anything, he seems to want the simple things: companionship, comfort, and someone who won’t leave him behind.

🥺 Please don’t let Barklee spend his senior years waiting in a kennel.

He deserves to know what it feels like to wake up in a home instead of a shelter.
He deserves a soft bed instead of a kennel floor.
He deserves someone to choose him.

This beautiful girl is Luna, a 1–2 year old Lab mix with a big heart and SO much love to give! 🐶💕

Luna is what we like to call the golden trifecta of dogs — she:
🐕 Loves other dogs
🐱 Likes cats
👧 Would do well with kids

She does still have some serious puppy energy, though, so she may accidentally knock the little ones over while showing them just how excited she is to be their new best friend! 😂💛

Luna is looking for a loving home where she can settle in, have fun, and finally have the family she deserves. She has so much potential to be an amazing companion!

Meet Karen, Deborah, Pam, Susan & Linda — our newest little group of ladies who would very much like to speak to the manager. 😂

These five tiny girls are around 6 weeks old and are still young enough that we’re just starting to see their individual personalities come out, but they’ve already mastered the art of looking mildly inconvenienced by absolutely everything. We can’t wait to get to know them better over the next few weeks!

Since these little ladies are now around 6 weeks old, ECAC is officially accepting adoption applications for them! 🐾 They still have some growing and learning to do, but we’re happy to start finding their future families now.

For now, please direct all complaints, refund requests, and strongly worded emails to management. 🛒🧾🐾😂

🐾💗 MEET MIMSIE! 💗🐾

Say hello to the new girl! This adorable little cow-print cutie is Mimsie, a 1-year-old mixed breed weighing about 43 pounds. 🐄🐶

Mimsie is basically a full-grown body running on puppy software. 😂 She has plenty of energy, loves to play, and is ready for a family who will keep her busy and help her keep learning.

So far, we know she is:

🐶 Good with other dogs
🐱 Good with cats
🧼 Keeps her kennel clean
⚡ Full of puppy energy
💕 Cute enough to get away with quite a bit

At just a year old, Mimsie has so much potential and would love a home where she can play, learn, explore, and then crash on the couch after a hard day of being adorable.

If you’ve been looking for a fun, happy young dog to add to your crew, Mimsie might just be your girl! 🏡💗🐾

📌 As always, breed and adult size are our best estimates. All current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations, and vet references will be checked. A meet and greet is required with resident dogs. Some dogs may require a fenced yard. Adoptions are not first come, first served. Our goal is always to find the best match for both the dog and the family.

🚨 URGENT — THESE 8 BABIES NEED US NOW. 🚨

💔 How could anyone leave 8 tiny, helpless kittens in a box on the side of the road in this extreme heat?

These precious babies had absolutely no way to save themselves. No food. No water. No shade. No mama. Just a box on the side of the road and the unbearable heat.

And somehow, they survived long enough for someone to find them. ❤️‍🩹

ECAC is already at MAXIMUM CAPACITY with cats, but when these 8 innocent little lives needed help, we simply couldn't turn them away.

We are doing everything we can for them right now. They are currently being bathed, flea treated, and vaccinated — but we desperately need your help to get them through this.

🏠 WE NEED FOSTER HOMES.

Even if you can only open your home temporarily, you could literally save a life.

These previous babies are around 4-6 weeks old.

We are also desperately in need of supplies for these babies:

🐾 Kitten food

We know everyone is stretched thin. We know there are so many animals in need. But these 8 little souls didn't choose to be abandoned. They didn't ask to be left in the heat. They didn't ask to be born into a world where someone could leave them behind.

They are scared, vulnerable, and completely dependent on us.

🐾💗 GEORGIA IS BACK… 💗🐾

Through no fault of her own.

Well… unless being A LOT of energetic puppy counts as a crime. 😂 If you know, you know.

Georgia is 9 months old, about 60 pounds, and she has plenty of puppy left in that big ol’ body. She’s playful, energetic, goofy and absolutely going to need someone who understands that puppies require patience, consistency and a little sense of humor.

The good stuff:

🐶 Dog friendly
🐱 Cat friendly
💕 Sweet, fun and full of personality
🏡 Housebreaking is still a bit of a question mark, but she uses the outside kennel and keeps her inside kennel clean, which is definitely encouraging!

Georgia isn’t looking for someone expecting a perfectly polished adult dog. She’s looking for someone ready to help a big, bouncy 9-month-old learn how to be the very best girl she can be.

Because underneath all that puppy chaos is a really good dog who just needs the right person to stick with her. ❤️

These little tabby troublemakers are playful, adorable, and VERY well socialized with people. They love attention, love to play, and are ready to find families of their own! ❤️

A special shoutout to Gage from Pet Wellness Center for helping care for these little ones and spending time interacting with them! 🥹🐾 We appreciate everything you’ve done to help these kittens grow into the social, loving babies they are today. ❤️

Are you pooping? 👀💩

Because according to Cajun and Shakira, bathroom privacy is absolutely NOT included in the adoption package. 😂

Close the door? Cute.
They’ll wait.
They’ll stare.
They’ll probably conduct a full wellness check.

And honestly, isn’t unconditional love just someone making sure you survived your trip to the toilet? 🤣❤️
