Welcome to the Pow Pack, Hazel! 🐾

Our second dachshund has officially joined the family, and she is as sweet as they come.

She does things on her own terms! Walks are more of a suggestion in her world. If she’s not feeling it, she’ll plop down on her back and show her belly for tummy rubs instead. 🐶👑

She’s happiest curled up on my lap on the couch, soaking up all the attention. And when she’s ready for a little retreat, she’ll snuggle under a blanket.

I am so grateful that she’s joined the pack. ❤️

Don’t be the client I have to tell ‘no’. ❌

There are only 251 nights until 2027 and I have 98 overnight spots left in 2026. April and May are fully booked for overnights. Summer is almost entirely booked. Holidays are going fast.

I hate having to turn people away, but each year my calendar fills quicker than the year before. If you have trips coming up, now is the time to get on the calendar before you are left scrambling. Regulars are already sending 2027 dates.

Your pets deserve to stay home, keep their routine, and be cared for by someone that everyone in the family will love and trust. Don’t wait until you have to settle for someone else!

December 2016 – April 2026 🪽🤍❤️

Gizmo was my mom’s dog, but he was such a big part of my life too. He was there through so many chapters of my life (I was 14 when he came home with us!!), and loving him shaped me in ways I didn’t even fully understand while he was here.

This is the part of loving dogs that hurts the most. The same love that fills your life is what makes saying goodbye so incredibly hard.

Two dogs changed EVERYTHING for me ❤️

They were my very first clients, during a time when everything in my life felt uncertain. I was a year out from chemotherapy, trying to figure out who I was and what came next. I didn’t feel like myself and I knew that I needed something to hold onto.

That’s when I started walking Miley & Magoo.

What began as caring for two sweet doodles quickly turned into something so much bigger. One client became a few, a few became many, and before I knew it, I was building something that gave me purpose.

Now caring for 40+ regular clients, I am reminded that it all traces back to them. Powell Premium Pet Care wouldn’t exist without them.

(They were members of the Pow Pack before my last name was even Powell! Before I even had a car, when my grandpa would drop me off and sometimes tag along on walks😅❤️)
