Today we are highlighting three more of our wonderful Veterinary Assistants: McKena, Jennifer, and Kayla! (left to right)

Along with their roles as Veterinary Assistants, Kayla helps lead our clinical operations, while Jennifer serves as our Kennel Coordinator, overseeing, training, and supporting our Kennel Assistants.

Each of these ladies plays an important role in keeping our hospital running smoothly and ensuring our patients receive the care they deserve.

This week we are also spotlighting our Veterinary Assistants!

This is Kalyssa, Olivia, Lily B, and Anna. They work alongside our doctors and technicians, help care for patients, assist with appointments and procedures.

Today, and every day, we are thankful for the work that Allison, April, and Pam are our RVTs/LVTs do for our patients.

Today, in addition to celebrating these three incredibly kind, compassionate, and faithful members of our team, we are also celebrating Lily, who has completed her veterinary technician program through Purdue and just passed her licensing exam last week!

Lily is just waiting on the final approval from the state before she can officially add LVT behind her name. We are so excited to celebrate her in this huge accomplishment.

We are so incredibly grateful for the knowledge, skills, compassion, and heart all four of these ladies bring to MVH and to the patients and families they care for every day. 💜💙

Yesterday, Dr. Payton, Dr. Robyn, Katie, and Jennifer spent the day at Reins of Life - Therapeutic horseback riding in Michigan City.

They did 17 equine dental floats, 3 lameness exams with X-rays, and 3 chiropractic/acupuncture exams to help keep their horses feeling their best. (WHAT A DAY!)

We love partnering with Reins of Life and supporting the horses that do so much for our community.

Thankfully, the team got plenty of work in to help work off the amazing lunch Amanda made for them!

Help us have your pet’s medications ready when you need them!

We know stopping by to pick up a prescription is probably just one of many things on your to-do list, and we want to make it as quick and easy as possible!

When your pet needs a prescription refill, please give our team at least 24 hours notice whenever possible. This gives us time to review your pet’s medical record, get doctor approval if needed, and have everything filled and ready for you when you arrive.

Calling ahead also helps us keep things moving behind the scenes so our team can give each patient the time and attention they deserve.

We know there will always be those “I just realized we’re out!” moments — life happens! But whenever you’re able to plan ahead, giving us that extra time makes a big difference.

Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly and for trusting us to care for your pets.
