May, June and now July! ☀️
Boy is time really flying by this year.

Ginger, our fox red Labrador, graduated from a 3 week custom B+T relearning basic obedience, building confidence and pairing those skills with e collar conditioning! She has now joined my summer adventure club and is utilizing all that she’s learned three days a week to continue consistency.

Bella, the precious Bernese Mountain Dog, also recently graduated from my Puppy Jump Start B+T program. She came to me with all the usual puppy behaviors and left with a solid foundation to continue building on.

Daisy, the Bernadoodle, is still with us for her puppy program and graduates Monday! She is really enjoying learning about marker words and release words and figuring out just what gets her what she wants! She was exhibiting signs of her fear period upon arrival but we are building confidence daily and encouraging her through this staple time of her life.

Puppies are every dog trainers favorite, generally speaking, they come a blank slate and are so eager to learn during that sensitive period! Though mostly very similar, they all present their different challenges keeping work exciting and forcing me to think outside of the box 💜🐾

Spring has Sprung! 🌸
& so has many of your motivation to get back into dog training.

I am so excited to offer the following group classes beginning next month!

Each course will run for 6 weeks consecutively meeting once a week.
Cost of class is $150
(Recommended class items are not included)

Classes will run for roughly an hour and are limited to 6 participants per course.
(No more than 2 dogs per handler)

“So you want to be a bird dog?”
❗️CLASS FULL
Open to all age groups and breeds

Beginning 5.2 through 6.6
10am to 11am

If you own a sporting breed (or not) and feel like you could be doing more to meet your dog’s needs or you’re interested in hunting, but you don’t know where to begin? This is the start for you!

During this course we will cover many disciplines that pet owners can utilize not only at home but also while building their sporting breed for the field. We will also talk about the various clubs and opportunities right here in our state.

Covering but not limited too:
• Recall while building hunt drive and owner relationship through play, all while free shaping a retrieve
• Bird Intro when you have no access to birds
• Tracking skills
• Woah / Place / Stand stay work and how to build duration through distractions
• Making water fun
• How to safely prepare and introduce your dog to Gunfire

Do you have “heeling envy”? Do you see all those prancing dogs in perfect position looking up at their handlers and wish you could teach your dog THAT? Are you preparing for the Summer Classic? No matter where you are in your heelwork, you can always start back at square 1!
This class is all about free shaping and building just that. It includes finishes, both left and right and all the pre req skills that make fancy turns later on.

The S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start created by AKC. This course is an excellent first in-person training class that will teach you how to best communicate with your puppy. Organized training classes also provide an opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs. In classes aimed at earning the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction, you’ll be able to get information on all your puppy-raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called and other basic obedience foundational skills.

After a much needed month off in February, we just wrapped up our March board and train students stay! 🥳

Congratulations, Honey Bunny!🍯🐰

This sweet 6 month old Labrador retriever exhibited typical lab behavior of jumping, counter surfing, eating things she shouldn’t and pulling on the leash. Over the last two weeks she has built a new foundation to a structured life brick by brick and I am so proud of the progress that was made. 🐾

Look forward to seeing this girl around in the future 🩵

New year, new graduates!
Join us in congratulating our January B+T Boudreaux 🎓🩵

This 5 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog went from thinking home was his jungle gym and he enjoyed jumping into people's legs, counter surfing, trash diving, and pretending to be a sled dog when on leash (you know all the usual unruly puppy behaviors)!To focusing on building a calm state of mind around food, understanding how to relax and be okay with doing ~nothing ~ and understanding basic obedience while building confidence outside of the home.

Catahoula’s are a unique breed and not for every one! They are known for their high intelligence, intense energy, and "velcro" nature, often exhibiting unique quirks like vocalizing (baying/barking), intense staring ("guardy" behavior), and a stubborn, independent streak. They are highly loyal, often leaning on their owners for comfort, yet they can be aloof with strangers and require firm, consistent training.

Once we had B in the right headspace and convinced this whole learning thing was fun, he was able to master his obedience skills including but not limited to Down/Stay with Distractions, Manners with People, Loose Leash Walking, Threshold Manners, Leave it, Drop it and Switch, Place and more!

He was a humbling client dog that made me work outside of my box and I can't wait to see get him back for a refresher to continue his e collar skills soon! 🐾
