Little senior Stevie is one of our permanent residents. Originally pulled from a kill shelter (with his sister)…Stevie was born completely blind, with no shadows or light. Stevie now has a collapsing trachea, is almost completely deaf and has recently become disoriented. He knows he is loved and can depend on us…no matter what//Tina

Here’s a brief update (and a couple of pictures previous owner sent) on Lucky. We had exam, bloodwork and bile acids test (pre & post). There’s definitely something going on with liver, but that test was inconclusive for liver shunt. It was recommended to try a liver diet 2-4 weeks then rerun test before we do CT/ultrasound. What was concerning was his fasting glucose was 46…so we’ll need to keep a close eye on that with regular home testing. Overall, lucky is active, eats good, feels good and working on house training. I haven’t had a chance to update the wishlist, but we are still in need of help with medical costs. Look at that face…//Tina

It’s a cool Monday morning & everyone wants a pumpkin latte, but I’m asking that you help Lucky instead. Previous owner’s vet said possible EPI and liver shunt, also cryptorchid. Poor little guy is a hot mess at only 10 months old & a very thin 3lb 15oz. He also has a slightly hunched back, reminding me of old dogs with arthritis. On the other hand..he’s been social, friendly & curious, so that’s a plus. I’ll talk to Dr Donna Woods (amazing vet) today & get the ball rolling on getting this little feeling better. PLEASE help, this will be a long, costly journey for Lucky. Good juju & prayers are always needed & appreciated. Once we see the vet I’ll update wish list for him//Tina

Remember Toby who came to us after losing his mom and requiring serious eye surgery? One of our groomers ended up adopting him…he’s doing amazing, goes to work with mom daily…and I’m told her daughter is Toby’s favorite human. We’re always thrilled when when life works out perfectly for our little ones. Looking good Toby//Tina
