Unfortunately, your dog cannot explain, “My mom changed her number, but she’s the lady who buys the fancy cheese.” 🧀🐶

Here at Deer Creek Animal Clinic, we’re reminding you to update your pet’s microchip registration whenever you:

📱 Get a new phone number
📧 Change your email address
🏡 Move—your cat may still be upset about it, but the registry needs to know.

**The microchip doesn’t update itself.** It’s helpful, but it’s not your personal assistant. 😂

Take a few minutes to check your contact information with your pet’s microchip registry. That tiny chip needs current details to help get your favorite escape artist home!

They are NOT an evil spirit.
They DID knock that glass off the counter on purpose, but that’s unrelated. 👀

Here at Deer Creek Animal Clinic, we love a tiny house panther! Help yours have a safe Halloween with these important requests from the feline management team:

🏠 **Keep me inside.** I may look like I belong in a haunted forest, but I belong on your clean laundry.

🚪 **Give me a quiet room during trick-or-treating.** Strangers ringing the doorbell every three minutes? Absolutely not. My schedule says “nap.”

🍬 **Hide the candy AND the wrappers.** My questionable judgment is why you’re in charge.

🕯️ **Use battery-operated candles.** This tail has no turn signal and very little supervision.

🎃 **Respect my costume preferences.** If I freeze, hide, or try to escape, take it off. I’m already dressed as a tiny void with opinions.

🖤 Keep cats of every color safe, cozy, and comfortably judging you this Halloween.

Those adorable puppy-dog eyes might be hard to resist, but Halloween candy can be downright SPOOKY for our furry friends! 🐶🐱

🚫 Chocolate – Toxic to dogs and cats, especially dark chocolate and baking chocolate.

🚫 Sugar-Free Candy & Gum – May contain xylitol (also called birch sugar), which can be extremely dangerous for dogs.

🚫 Raisins – Even small amounts can cause serious kidney problems in dogs.

🚫 Candy Wrappers – Foil, plastic, and other wrappers can cause choking or intestinal blockages.

🍭 Keep the Halloween fun safe!
🎃 Store candy in a secure location, away from curious paws.
🎃 Remind children not to share their treats with pets.
🎃 Keep trick-or-treat bags off the floor and out of reach.
🎃 Have pet-friendly treats available so your furry family members can join the fun!

🚨 If you suspect your pet has eaten something dangerous, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Don't wait for symptoms!

We’re proud to celebrate the woman behind our independent veterinary hospital and the heart she brings to caring for pets, supporting our team, and serving our community.

Owning a veterinary hospital takes dedication, determination, patience, and a whole lot of love. Today, we celebrate Dr. Rowland and everyone who has been part of these five years—our team, our clients, and the pets who make it all worthwhile. ❤️
