🌅 High noon in the living room, and neither side is backing down.

Low stance, ears up, and a single dust bunny rolling between them like a tumbleweed. The vacuum has done nothing but glow one little blue light, and this corgi has decided that counts as a declaration of war. 😂

In this house, the vacuum runs the floors and the corgi runs the opposition.

One enormous Bernese, one tiny fistful of fur, and a baby who thinks he is the best thing in the world. He has appointed himself official guardian of the play mat, and the only rule is that nothing happens without him. 👶

Did your dog ever appoint themselves the guardian of a new family member?

Who Ate the Cookies? Both Say Not Me
🍪 The cookie plate was empty, and two suspects pointed at each other.

One five-year-old, one Labrador, and crumbs on both of their faces. He blamed the dog, the dog gave him a long sideways look, and neither had a plan beyond appearing innocent. 🐶

The case remains unsolved, the plate is spotless, and the evidence is still on their chins.

The Pug Who Refused to Walk Past the Trash Can

🗑️ The trash can opened by itself, and one pug made a very serious decision.

He froze mid-step with the lid up and nobody moving. Eleven minutes later he was still on duty in the hallway, completely certain that bin was up to something. No one has had the heart to explain sensors to him. 😂

Some dogs guard the front door. This one guards the kitchen from a trash can that has never once misbehaved.

He is carrying a passenger, and he is taking it very seriously. 🐔🐶

The hen has chosen the best seat in the yard, and the dog has decided not to argue. He walks across the lawn with perfect posture, and she holds on with her chest puffed and her feathers fluffed. Both of them look completely at ease. 🌼

Some friendships are built on one animal carrying the other, and neither one ever mentions it.

She is working on the door, and he is waiting for the results. 🚪🐱

Upright on her hind legs, one paw on the handle and the other against the door, the Chartreux is concentrating harder than anyone has ever concentrated. The Beagle is sitting right behind her with total faith. The door has not opened yet, but the confidence is complete. 🐶

Some pets treat a closed door like a puzzle. What is the smartest or funniest thing your pet has done to open one?

Who Really Runs the House

Two pets, one house, and a very quiet disagreement about who is in charge. 🏠🐱🐕

The Labrador decides when everyone wakes up. The Siamese decides when the Labrador does. The dog believes he is running things, and the cat has been kind enough not to correct him. Both of them have a very strong case. 😼

The mail came in, and he made sure it did not stay in one piece. ✉️🐶

The flap is still swinging, the junk mail is everywhere, and a torn envelope is stuck to the tip of his nose. The Pug is looking straight at the camera with the calm of a dog who has completed an important job. Nobody is paying any bills with any of this. 📬

A mail slot is only a door for a dog who has made up his mind.

Three Things This Corgi Does That Nobody Can Explain

Every dog has a list of habits nobody can explain. 🐕💧

Sitting in the water bowl, barking at one specific cloud, sleeping with one eye open on purpose. The Corgi has all three, and not one of them has ever been explained. His family stopped asking questions a long time ago. 🌥️
