💛🐰 What can we say about Cordell? In our eyes, this little guy is absolutely perfect! 🐰💛

Cordell is a dapper tan & white Dutch bun who arrived at Luna’s House in Fall 2025 at the tender age of four months. While he was small in stature, Cordell’s personality was always larger than life. He is happy to be buddies with everyone he meets…seriously, he is kind of too precious for this world.🥹

Cordell came to Luna’s House when his previous guardians realized his daily & veterinary care was too much for them to provide. While rabbits are absolutely adorable, they are also quite a bit of work, needing significant daily maintenance, a proper diet 🌾🥬, & specialized veterinary care.🏥 We were glad we were able to welcome this handsome chap into our Rabbit Adoption Program & knew he would delight his new family for many years to come.☺️

While we are happy to report that Cordell has found his forever folks in the awesome Zimmerman family, we will admit we were all a little sad to see him go. Always a ray of sunshine☀️ in our days, Cordell is one unforgettable fellow.🫶

📱❤️🐾Thanks so much to the TCC, Verizon Authorized Retailer store in Aberdeen (Beards Hill) for welcoming us on Sunday as part of their Rescues Rock initiative! 📱❤️🐾

Beautiful bun girl Selena, goofy kitto Roy, & perfect pups Sandy, Ricky Bobby, & Leo (who eluded the camera📸) all had a blast meeting nice, new friends. Everyone was delighted to receive lots of pets & love…Ricky Bobby got so much affection that he’s all tuckered out in his photo! 😴🤣

Luna’s House volunteers were able to chat with the Verizon TCC team & their customers, informing them of our adoption programs and what we do to help companion animals in the community. A great time was had by all & we were honored to have been invited to take part.☺️

Thanks to volunteers Melissa, Faith, Kristy, Denise & Al, Darryl & Robin, and Christina for working the event on behalf of Luna’s House and, of course, for taking great care of the furkids during their outing! 🐇🐈🦮

🐶🩷 Yesterday we held our semi-annual Dog Reunion for pups adopted from Luna’s House. You may recognize some of these sweet, silly faces! 🩵🐾

We look forward to the reunions for our canine alumni so much!☺️ Volunteers can see how well the dogs to whom they dedicated so much time & love are doing with their forever families. Speaking with pup parents, hearing stories of goofy antics or touching breakthroughs is what the hard work is all about.🥰

Our currently available dogs also enjoy socializing at Dog Reunions—check out Cedric, Joyce, Ricky Bobby, & Tyson all having a blast! 🎉

THIS Sunday, May 17, come on out to meet some of our adoptable kiddos at the Verizon store in Aberdeen from 1pm to 4pm.

Pups Sandy, Ricky Bobby, & Leo will be in attendance along with charismatic kitto Roy & beautiful bun girl Selena! While we do not process same-day adoptions, we would be delighted to accept applications for our little ones looking for their forever homes.🥰

Today’s Caturday spotlight shines on the handsome & laid back Moby! Do not let the mask fool you—the only thing Moby wants to steal is your heart.♥️

Moby was adopted from Luna’s House as a young kitty man. Seven years later his human mom, who loved him dearly, faced circumstances beyond her control & had to make the difficult decision to return Moby to our care. Every animal adopted from Luna’s House is a part of our family for their entire lives, and Moby is no exception.

When Moby first came back to us he was understandably shy & needed time getting comfortable in his new surroundings. Now that he has gotten to know our volunteers, he has become more confident & enjoys the company of those with whom he is familiar. Moby enjoys chilling in our condo room, long naps, & having his gorgeous black & white fur brushed. He also sports a rather adorable short tail!

At ~10 years of age, Moby is a seasoned gent often overlooked by potential adopters. This is not unique to Moby—senior cats are often passed over in favor of kittens or younger cats. Older cats make excellent companions, as their established personalities make it easier to pair them with humans. Senior cats are also more content to enjoy a relaxed, quiet lifestyle. With proper care, nutrition, annual veterinary visits, affection, & attention, cats often live into their late teens or even their early 20s. Moby has many more years left to share all the love in his little kitty heart!

While health issues can develop at any point in a cat’s life, many senior cats have a known health history, allowing us to inform adopters about their medical needs. Not long after his original adoption, Moby had a urinary blockage. He was treated for the blockage & has been on a prescription urinary diet ever since. He’s had great success on his Rx diet. His new family will need to continue this diet for the duration of his life, keeping an eye on his litterbox to ensure all continues to go well for him.
