**Labor Day Holiday Closure**

Eden Veterinary Clinic will be **closed Monday, September 7th** in observance of Memorial Day.

We will reopen **Tuesday, September 8th**, with walk-in hours beginning at **9:00 AM**.

**Our Normal Hours**
Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed

Surgeries are by appointment only.

Currently under an Air Quality Health Advisory due to smoke drifting in from Canadian wildfires. While you may notice hazy skies or smell smoke in the air, remember that our dogs and cats are breathing the same air we are.

As a veterinarian, here are my recommendations:

Keep walks short and avoid strenuous exercise outdoors.

Keep cats indoors if possible until air quality improves.

Keep windows closed and run your air conditioning or an air purifier if you have one.
Make sure fresh water is always available.

Pets with asthma, chronic bronchitis, collapsing trachea, heart disease, or other breath ing problems are at the greatest risk. Puppies, kittens, and senior pets may also be more sensitive.

Watch for signs of smoke irritation, including:
Coughing
Wheezing
Difficulty breathing
Excessive panting
Red or watery eyes
Lethargy or reluctance to exercise

If your pet develops any of these signs, or seems to be having trouble breathing, contact your veterinarian right away.

If the air isn't healthy for you, it's probably not healthy for your pets either.
