CAC is growing and looking to add Veterinary Technicians or Assistants to our team.

Positions Available:
• Full-time (only one weekend per month)
• Part-time (weekends only)

Pay:
• $11–$22/hour based on work and life experience
• Time-and-a-half pay for weekend shifts

Preceptors are a great joy at Castaway, and this year has been no exception. Emily Catherine Huested has been one of the excellent 4th year students from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine that we have had the privilege of having on our team! Here is a short little bio on an already long career spent helping horses. Welcome to Castaway, Dr. Humphry!

Dr. Jared Humphry started his veterinary journey as a farrier. He attended the Eastern School of Farrier Science in 2002. Upon completion, he began his farrier career in South Florida until 2007, when he moved to the Auburn, Alabama area. He built a large and loyal clientele before starting his study of veterinary medicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. He recently joined Castaway Animal Clinic as a full time associate veterinarian.

Dr. Jared Humphry has enjoyed horses his entire life. He has had the opportunity to work with horses in the film industry as a stunt double and wrangler, competed in the 2015 Mustang Makeover, and still enjoys team roping. When Dr. Humphry is not at the clinic you can find him spending time with his family or riding his horse, Dunny.

Welcome Dr. Humphry!! This is very exciting!

Dr. Jared Humphry has been a friend of Castaway Animal Clinic for 15 years. We could not be more pleased to have him join our team.

Over the past two years, many of you have seen him at Castaway as he has completed his veterinary training, and many of you over the years have known him as one of the truly high quality farriers serving our area. Now he combines his veterinary training with 20+ years of equine podiatry and farrier experience to serve Central and East Alabama horse owners.

We are proud to have him strengthen our Castaway team!
