🦃In case you’ve ever wondered why we don’t do many fall turkeys this should help explain!

I’ve done a couple and usually we have to put a replacement skin on them because they loose so many of the new feathers that they are growing to get ready for winter.

Luckily, this hen will be a decoy for next year so she can afford to loose a couple more feathers.

Maybe one day I’ll get to mount a turkey that this little lady fools🤷🏽🦃

🦃The more you know, the more you realize how much there is to learn…
I’ve been altering some turkey forms lately—some of them pretty significantly! And honestly, it’s hard. As I learn more about these incredible birds, and the closer I get to creating a turkey that truly looks and feels right to me, the harder it becomes to mount a bird on a commercial form.

Once your eyes are opened to the truth, you can’t help but want to grow closer to what is right.🦃
