Workin with my buddy this morning, Miss Bobby. Anytime she sees this hay cart she’ll charge up to it and hitch a ride. I used to hate this cat but ever since we developed an agreement of she gets to do what she wants and I basically stay out of her way, we get along great 😂

Worked on this draft horse today. Not a mean bone in his body but he’s extremely stubborn and refuses to lift his feet up. As a consequence of that he gets sedated ( which means he leans like crazy ) and then the owner will push on whatever shoulder or hip I need moved for him to lift his leg. We try to move fast but fast doesn’t mean easy, so I’m exhausted by the end of it. But we got the critter trimmed and now I get to stand in the shower and watch that hard work go down the drain! ( literally )

Worked a barn a few days ago that had these adorable kittens in it. Their names are Devil and Demon, but as you can probably tell from the photo, they don’t live up to their names 😂

Got to work on this little lady recently, she’s almost as old as me, and is blind in both eyes ( or rather lack there of ) but you would never know it by the way she runs all over her pasture.

Trimming her is a treat, but you gotta go slow and quiet, loud random sounds aren’t her friend 😂

Got to trim a few hind feet today with my mentor, pretty pleased with how they turned out!

Still discovering more and more uses of my forge. So far I’ve worked shoes yes, but also fixed my bib-overall clip and the latest venture - bending PVC pipe for a friend into a bow shape for who knows what reason 😂

Another good day pulling shoes and working for my mentor Nathan Deaver! Loving this trade and appreciating how even in winter, no matter how many layers of winter coats come off, you still end up sweating.

Recent trim for one of my clients. After getting some length and a bit of flair removed, as well as establishing a much better hoof-pastern axis, Falcor ( the horse ) trotted off feeling much better.

Trimmed hoof is on the left and untrimmed hoof is on the right for perspective.
