Five years ago, this journey started with two very special girls—Marley and Skye—and some big dreams.

At the time, I had high hopes for what they would help me build. Marley went on to have two wonderful litters, but after a routine dental procedure, she was accidentally spayed and retired from our breeding program. Skye’s path took a different turn when she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and needed surgery to repair her hip. Her breeding career ended before it could truly begin, but she found an even more important purpose and is now a service dog making a difference every day.

While neither girl’s story went exactly as planned, they both changed the course of my life in ways I never expected. Their journeys eventually led me to their legacy through Marley’s granddaughters, Bree and Delta, who continue the foundation that Marley and Skye helped create.

Looking back, it’s incredible to see how much we’ve grown over the last five years. There have been challenges, lessons, successes, and more learning than I ever could have imagined. Every experience has helped shape the program we have today, and I couldn’t be more proud of where we are and excited about where we’re headed.

Most of all, I’m grateful for this amazing breed and everything these dogs have brought into my life—the friendships, the memories, the opportunities, and the joy.

So here’s a little throwback to where it all began: Marley and Skye. ❤️
