*HE HAS FOUND HIS HOME*
š©¶ Draco von den Komplizen š©¶ 10 weeks
Gray collar male from our D-Litter, Flint x Kazi 2.0, is still on the hunt. His potential home fell through and Iām going to be very picky on where he goes.
** Iām looking for a co-own ** WORKING HOME ONLY. Ideally fairly local and on the East Coast, but for the right home Iām open to him traveling further. I will not ship him or put him on a transport.
Iāll start this by saying that I personally think this puppy is perfect and weāre all struggling with letting him go but we want him in a home where he will be someoneās everything and not 1 of 5 in our house. Heās already started with crate training, working on potty training, he travels incredibly well, heās environmentally confident and stable, heās happy and open but his choice for his person or people is clear. He has grown up with kids and he loves them. Tooth hugs are given often- to all of us. He has a huge heart and heās going to give it all to whoever he deems worthy. His hunt drive is strong, high food drive, medium to medium-high prey (this will continue to come up as he matures,) loves to tug, has been well exposed to husbandry and care since a week old with having his nails dremeled and heās had 3 baths with the power dryer on low. Heās very well behaved for all of it- the occasional puppy wiggle but easily settles down again. Heās not a rude or pushy puppy with adult dogs and is very respectful- he in no way looks for trouble and if he wants to play, he seeks out Kismet who he knows will engage with him and take him up on his offer. He takes social cues and cut off signals well. Heād do very well in a home with an appropriate dog, male or female. Heās genetically neutral in public to people and dogs and I think heāll be a dog that would prefer it remain that way- meaning heās going to have the attitude of āitās me and my person on an adventureā and heās not going to tolerate rude or pushy behavior from people or dogs- he already finds it offensive. He would excel in SAR, Nosework, or Detection. He has been exposed to Human Remains and liked it, he regularly has had to hunt for his food and loves the game- no issues if I put the bowl in weird or unstable places. He does well with cats- right now he canāt decipher between them when he first sees them so he thinks any of the 3 will play with him at first. He will back off once they tell him to and he realizes which cat is which.
Iām in no rush to place him but more so looking for his perfect home. Can we handle 5 dogs, absolutely. Would it be fair to take more time away from him and the ones we already have, not really, but if his perfect home doesnāt come along he always has one here.
If youāre interested and open to a co-own, please email me at [email protected] or message me to discuss further.
New videos of him hunting and being exposed to HR available upon request. Old ones are posted in the comments on his original post two weeks ago so feel free to take a look.
