Remember Tapper, the emaciated dog so frail and weak that he needed a blood transfusion? (see last photo)

Check out Tapper now! 💅🦚

After a re-feeding plan for starving dogs, Tapper bounced back and is looking very healthy.

He’s doing amazing at the shelter and is ready his next move into a foster or adoptive home!

More info about Tapper:

⚫Given his actual size/appearance we think he’s a Mastiff, Cane Corso, American Bulldog mix.
⚫He’s friendly with dogs and older kids, but shouldn’t live with any cats.

Come meet the revived and refreshed Tapper during our walk-in foster and adoption hours!

Willow is ready...can you feel the call? 🦇

This sweet girl is feeling so much better now and is ready for her forever family.

Willow is affectionate and litter box trained and friendly with other kitties. She just needs a little bit of time to adjust to her new settings, but once she does, you'll see an adventurous feline.

She's used to living in a home and is ready to move in with you and get some snuggles in - just as the chilly fall weather starts. 🍂

Oh, and Halloween? She loves it! 👻

Come meet her tomorrow for $25 Cat Tuesdays at Gateway Pet Guardians. Every Tuesday in October, all cats and kittens at the shelter are only $25 thanks the Zach Schneider Memorial Fund.

Zolie still needs our help! Get her out of the shelter ASAP before she declines even more! 🚨

Zolie is a big, confident, and energetic dog who is ready to go on adventures with you...just in time for camping and hiking season! 🥾⛺🍂

Zolie was struggling at the shelter, so we were relieved when she got adopted. Unfortunately, through no fault of her own, Zolie returned to the shelter and we’re back in the same pickle where shelter stress is taking its toll. 😢

Every human who has cared for Zolie (including GPG staff) adores her. She’s an amazing dog who deserves a second chance. 🙏

We believe she has the potential to fit in seamlessly with a lot of families because Zolie:

✅Has done well in every home where she’s lived.
✅Gets along with dogs.
✅Gets along with older kids.
✅Passed cat testing at the shelter and has lived successfully with cats in a home.

We really need to find Zolie placement in a foster or adopter’s home ASAP. Please reach out to [email protected] or come to our walk-in Foster/Adoption hours to meet her!!
