Santa Rosa County Animal Services Community Cat Day on Thursday, October 29, is cancelled.

The next SRCAS Community Cat Day will be Thursday, November 12 at the shelter, 4451 Pine Forest Rd. in Milton.

Up to 50 stray/feral cats will be accepted for free spay and neutering through community cats program funding.

Participants must be Santa Rosa County residents and are required to show proof of residency in Santa Rosa County. Participants can bring up to three community cats. Cats must be at least three months of age, outdoor, unowned, and free-roaming to be eligible for the program. In addition to neutering/spaying, cats will receive a rabies vaccination and ear tip. A tipped ear indicates that a community cat has been altered.

Residents are responsible for trapping and transporting cats to and from the shelter. Cats must be dropped off at the shelter at 8 a.m. and picked up by 10 a.m. the following day (Friday, November 13). Cats must be secured in a humane trap that they can stand comfortably in, and only one cat per trap. Traps are available to rent from SRCAS beginning Monday, November 9. Renters will be charged $65 to take a trap and will be refunded once the trap is returned. Deposits can be paid by cash or check ONLY.

1 family helped and thank you to Shantel Stromerson and Fausse Nene with Sunshine State Animal Rescue for the donation of dog food. Also thank you to a donor that wants to stay anonymous for some food, a dog bed, an elevated bowls. I couldn’t do this pantry without the communities support and help!!!

🚨🐾 SOS!!! PAWSOME PANTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🐾🚨

❤️ OUR SHELVES ARE GETTING LOW! ❤️

Due to the recent hurricane, Pawsome Pantry has been working nonstop to help families keep their beloved pets fed and cared for. We helped so many families both before and after the storm, and unfortunately, our supplies are starting to run dangerously low.

🐾 WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF:

🚨 Adult dry dog food

🚨 Dry puppy food

🚨 Adult dry cat food

🚨 Cat litter

❤️ GOOD NEWS! We are currently WELL STOCKED on:

✅ Wet dog food

✅ Wet cat food

✅ Kitten food

Every bag of food and every container of litter makes a difference! Whether it’s a small bag or a large one, every donation helps us continue supporting families in Santa Rosa, Escambia, and surrounding communities.

Our mission has always been simple: Keep pets fed, keep families together, and help prevent animals from being surrendered because their families are going through hard times. ❤️

The hurricane may have passed, but many families are still feeling its effects. We want to continue being there for them, but we cannot do it without our amazing community!

🙏 If you can donate, please reach out! If you can’t donate, sharing this post helps tremendously!

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shared our posts, and supported Pawsome Pantry. You are the reason we can keep doing what we do! 🐕🐈❤️

Together, we can keep those bowls full! 🐾

❤️ Megan
