Still another month or so to book a "swimming session" for your dog. I'll help you get your dog comfortable in the water. Typically once they get comfortable in deep water, the dog paddle kicks in and they build confidence. This pond has a very gradual grade so they can walk around with minimal stress.

This happy pup is well on her way to achieving "comfort dog" status. This title has come under a great deal of controversy over the years. People have applied this title to dogs that were not properly trained just to get the dogs into certain places.
Our plan with her is to first pass the Canine Good Citizen test. Then she will train and test with a local organization that is certified and insured to provide a dog that is capable of visitation to medical/nursing home facilities. Her owners are well aware of the time and effort involved to achieve a legitimate comfort dog. In my opinion, this dog shows potential to perform this type of work. Dog-town.net
