Another 22 cats spayed and neutered yesterday at the last SNIP of the summer hosted by Providence Farm.

We'll be focusing on Colony Cats for the next few weeks and resuming SNIPs over the winter. If you have a colony of 8 or more cats, please sign up on the waiting list here: https://forms.gle/ic2h8taiJFraTUs27. If you have less than 8 cats, use the Appointments tab on Www.PetWellMobileVet.com to request a SNIP appointment.

Let's give a big shout out to East Jordan Stray Cat Colony Caretakers who had 25 adult cats spayed, neutered, vaccinated and ear tipped; and 7 kittens placed in foster homes yesterday!!

These cats are from 3 colonies in town EJ. Most of the cats were returned to their colonies as as healthy, sterile members of society. Doing this prevents a vacuum effect that invites new, fertile cats into the area. Large cities like Rone and Chicago have been embracing this for many years and even encourage businesses to keep resident cats. Additional thanks needs to go out to Lost&Hound Lost Pet Tracking and Recovery LLC, Debbie Drew, Angela Shook and Michalla Louiselle for all their help coordinating, transporting, assisting. We are able to do what we do at these low prices because of The AC PAW Spay & Neuter Project. If you see any one of their representatives, give them a high five or donate to their cause. They are the reason we can get so many cats off the street.

Cat Colonies from Mancelona, Boyne City, Advance, Ga***rd, I haven't forgotte n about you. We will get your colonies done too.

The end of an era has come. The damage from the July hail storm was too extensive for the insurance to cover. They declared the 2022 Subaru a total loss. I have a new vehicle in the works but I'll be unmarked for a little while.

Do you need help with a Cat Colony that was dropped off at your barn or is living under your trailer?

I've had many calls over the last few days regarding these "unwanted tenants". I'm adding extra SNIP days specifically for Colony Cats before I start my winter schedule. Add your Colony (must be 8 or more cats) to my waiting list here: https://forms.gle/gU6y9PNvpgLBD8Df8, and I will do my best to schedule them.

20 cats from the Charlevoix Estates colony were trapped and assessed.

Of them, 8 adults were spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ear tipped and released. A few had wounds that needed to be treated.

10 kittens were spayed/neutered, vaccinated and placed in foster until permanent homes can be found. Follow Russell for kitten pictures. All kittens were treated for fleas and ear mites.

2 kittens were too young and are in foster until they are old enough for their spay/neuter.

We are far from being done but persistence pays off. The residents of Charlevoix Estates have done a great job coming together to make this trapping event happen. đź‘Ź
