✨ Meet the Models ✨
Call Vogue... because we have some models ready for the cover of a high fashion magazine (or the MPAS 2027 Calendar)
Our contestants for the 2027 MPAS Calendar Photo Contest have been bringing their best to the competition and we need you to help decide who has what it takes to be Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter's Next Top Model 📸
Let's meet the models...
🧡 Meet Rusty: He was adopted him from MPAS in 2016. He was always his owner's anchor. So sweet and unassuming. He would never “doggy kiss” anyone. It brought him a sense of humility or seriousness that was so endearing. He always went on his walks, prancing like a pony, until his final days.
🐈🐈⬛ Meet Coraline & Gracie: At just over a year old, Coraline (the sweet black cat) joined the family after being adopted from the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter during Pet Palooza 2025. Gracie, a beautiful 14-year-old diluted tortie, was adopted from the MSPCA back in 2019.
Though they started out keeping their distance, everything changed with a little unexpected magic! A simple ribbon stumbled upon by chance, along with some delicious Churu treats, instantly turned these two once-distant kitties into playful, inseparable best friends. Now, whether they're sharing the cat tree or bonding over treat time, they prove that friendship can blossom at any age
🍁 Meet Maple: Maple is a 7 year old Mini Australian Shepherd adopted in 2020, and she is truly one of a kind! She is sassy, cuddly, friendly, and absolutely obsessed with food and walks. Maple has no tail, so instead of wagging, her whole little butt wiggles when she’s excited! She also has the cutest model walk and makes hilarious high pitched noises when she wants to play. One of our favorite things is that when we say, “Maple, put your shoes on!” she knows it means walk time and immediately runs to the door. She even makes funny little noises when she has a nightmare!
