A bitter sweet post to conclude our show season. Also wrapping up Khloe’s Jr career (I don’t want to talk about it.) Finishing the day with Champion in the Children’s 2’6” Eq and 🥉 in the 2’6” Classic. Khloe piloted Big Time AKA Karsyn with some of their best rounds to date. Karsyn has been with us for less than a year with Khloe mainly bringing him along and today was a true testimony of all the work put it. Big congratulations to these two!

🍂 A Good Mare 🍂

“There’s something different about the way a good mare connects with her rider. It’s special. Like an unspoken agreement. Once a mare chooses you as her person, it’s like she has an instinct to protect you, to fight for you. It’s almost as if she takes ownership of you.
I believe the good mares have a deep sense of intuition. They can read your mind. They know what you’re thinking even before you do. The good mares I know breathe fire in the face of challenge and then somehow, miraculously, know to quiet themselves when a timid child is plopped on their back for a pony ride.

They are clever, cunning and calculated, which can be your greatest enemy or your saving grace. The good mares I know do not tolerate egotistical riding. They do not tolerate force. They demand tact, finesse and emotional control. But once you have won a mare’s heart, you have won all of her. In exchange for your best—and nothing less—she will give you everything.”

RI EQUITATION FINALS 2026 & AUGUST SMITHBRIDGE

Would it be finals weekend if we didn’t make it a double show weekend two years in a row? 😅

Karsyn & Khloe competed at finals on Saturday with no goal other than experience. Although they didn’t place, the true win was the dedication and had work that has been poured into Karsyn since his arrival @ Topline. We couldn’t be more proud of horse or rider!

Sunday we took on one of our favorite schooling series

Hardy debuted over fences for her second show taking home a few blues in that division, along with taking home champion in the green horse WTC. Khloe piloted Hardy for Hardy’s owner 💪🏻

Pam & Rose also scores taking home reserve champion in the walk trot division. At 61 this was Pam’s first horse show EVER and we were honored our Rose was mount to take her to chase dreams!
