Sunny, the beloved Portuguese Water Dog of the Obama family, has sadly passed away at age 13.

Barack and Michelle Obama shared a heartfelt Instagram post earlier today, sharing all the irreplaceable memories Sunny brought their family.

They got Sunny during Obama’s second term in the White House as their first dog, Bo, began to grow old. She became a wonderful member of the Obama family.
In their post, the Obama’s said this: “But as far as our family was concerned, she was pretty much perfect, and for thirteen years, she would be by our side – always loyal, always sweet, always ready for adventure, still fiery and gorgeous till the very end of her days.”

Rest in peace Sunny, you were such a good girl. 🌈🕊️
