Apex didn’t start as an idea.
It started with dogs.
Cody O’Kelly, founder of Apex Canine Nutrition, has been feeding and studying raw diets for years—long before it became a trend. Through that time, he’s watched the industry shift, seen the marketing, the shortcuts, and the misleading labels.
And he never moved.
Because he’s seen what works.
Dog after dog. Year after year.
The real test has always been the same—health, performance, and longevity.
What you put in is what you get out.
That belief is what built everything.
From Hunky Hound Handlers… to HHH Canine Lodge & Ranch… to now Apex Canine Nutrition.
Cody has spent years working hands-on with dogs—training them, feeding them, and taking responsibility for the outcomes. Not in theory. Not behind a desk. But in the field, on hikes, in training, and in real life.
He hunts over his Weimaraner, Tepper, competing in AKC Hunt Tests and working toward NAVHDA—not against others, but against the standard. Always pushing for better.
When he’s not at the Lodge, he’s doing the same thing—training, working, feeding, hiking, and roading dogs across Litchfield County, Connecticut.
That’s where Apex was built.
Not in a lab.
Not from a trend.
But from experience.
And with Etty Gorman joining Apex—bringing decades of raw feeding experience, formulation expertise, and a foundation in goat milk in the pet industry—the company is built on both real-world application and industry leadership.
A system.
Real food. Built with intent. Backed by experience.
No fillers. No shortcuts. No HPP.
This is Apex.
