Day one is done; dressage ridden. Tomorrow is Ease of Handling!

Made it to the Region 6 Championships. The Grange is quite the Fairgrounds! Jog outs are taking place, Abby strutted her stuff and we're ready to show.

Just because they are so beautiful!

I know you love your horses at least as much as I love mine...but look at these girls. I could never ride them and just look at them and hug them all day. They'd be up for it too.

Honey Locust Absolute (25% CB)
Bella Vista London Loveday (100% CB)

Sigh.

Right here at Thistledale Farm!

They did it! It was a nail biter right to the end.

These three women and their horses showed up and rode in their first working equitation schooling show.

The weather turned out to be perfect for us with no rain, little wind, just the right temperature. Here's to more schooling shows next year! NYS Working Equitation has several on our planning calendar.

I'm a bit late with this post, but late is better than never. Look at these lovely riders and their horses - at their first Working Equitation show hosted by NYS Working Equitation in August! So proud of what they accomplished - great scores, no DQs, and lots of smiles. All of their hard work paid off.

Tiny brag, since this may only last 30 seconds - So proud of Abby and all she is willing to go along with. She gives it 110% and I love her for it.

In it for the little wins.

This is it...London chose to stand square in the crossties. So what you say?

I have been working with the girls this year to "make better choices" and to be more aware of their bodies and where they are in space. I am learning to tell if they are balanced or not.

So this choice by London swells my heart and makes me smile. Plus, I sat on her back several times this week. Just a natural progression. She was so chill.

Onward to steering!

I do not do this alone. So many help me. Thank you to Sarah Koch for helping me see and understand better and for giving me homework. I use the TRT method and appreciate the clear instruction I can watch over and over to drill it into my head. And I love Michelle Lackey at Simply Horsemanship USA and Megan Malan who support me in so many ways as well as sharing so much knowledge with me.

Tried to trail ride at Mendon with friends on Saturday. The storm was moving faster than predicted....so did we. Got back on the trailer to wait it out. Gave up and drove home to ride our own wet trails.
