Finley is the cutest! After his annual exam today he politely carried his prevention to the car for his mom. Such a gentleman ❤️

**Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week**

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💙
Our veterinary reception team is the heart of our hospital, and we’re so lucky to have Shannon and Rileigh leading the way. On average our reception Rockstars handle at least 100 calls a day. From scheduling new puppy visits, walking clients through at home care, and helping grieving clients make their pets final appointment. These ladies handle the toughest conversations and more every single day.

Shannon brings over 20 years of experience, wisdom, and steady guidance to every single day. She’s seen it all, and her compassion for our clients and their pets never wavers. She goes above and beyond every single day to make sure her patients get the absolute best care.

Rileigh, although newer to the veterinary field, brings positive energy, kindness, and a genuine care that makes every client feel welcomed and supported from the moment they walk in.

Together, they keep everything running smoothly, support our team behind the scenes, and most importantly, make a difference in the lives of our clients and their beloved pets.

We truly couldn’t do what we do without them. Thank you, Shannon and Rileigh, for being such an essential part of our hospital family. 🐾

We love Millie so much, but she does not get along with our other dog. We are devastated to have to re-home her, but we have to do what is best for Millie and our other dog.

Millie is a sweet girl that loves her belly rubbed. She is professionally trained, able to sit, stay, place, come, off, out, and heel on command. She loves couch time and napping in the sun. Mille loves to zoom around the house and play with her toys. Most of Millie's time is spent outside in her enclosed doggy play area, lounging on her doggy deck or napping on the couch.

Millie is completely house-broken and crate-trained. She loves her crate...it's her safe space. She has been professionally trained and boarded by Stateline Canine in Hanover, PA.

Millie is spayed, chipped and fully vaccinated. She is very healthy and has no known issues. We feed her a high protein dog food, but she would eat anything.

Millie requires an experienced dog owner that does not have any other pets. Millie can also be wary of strangers, but she can overcome this anxiousness with a little time and patience from the owner (a 5 minute warm up period around the new person). Millie needs an owner that can help her continue to build her confidence, allowing her to better deal with new situations. In general, Millie's ideal home has a calm predictable environment.

Hi Compassion Family
Just a heads up! There is some kind of scam t shirt comment post that keeps popping up on our feed. At least 5 times a day. We are trying to eliminate it from recurring but no luck. Please do not order anything that is not a post signed directly from Dr. Anne or Beth.
Thank you,
Beth

Just a friendly reminder that the office will be closed Friday April 3rd for Good Friday. Please give us a call to refill your pets prescriptions early so you don't run out over the long weekend. In case of a veterinary medical emergency while we are closed we recommend calling Mason Dixon Animal Emergency Center (717-432-6030) or SHORES Animal Emergency Center (717-798-8500) for 24/7 emergency medical care.

Hello Compassion Family,
We are writing to inform you that construction will begin on our solar project at the hospital on April 1st and is expected to continue through May. If you have an appointment during this time, please be alert and follow signage for restricted parking areas. We are working closely with the construction company to ensure a safe and smooth transition to minimize any inconvenience.
Phase 1 will take up all 6 of our designated parking spots, so please look for a diagonal, back side or front spot. Our staff will be parking elsewhere to make room for client only parking. We are expecting phase 1 to take 1 week for completion.

Phase 2 will be the back end of the hospital so our normal parking slots should not be affected too much by the construction. Project start is TBD.

Phase 3 will be in the front so only the handicapped parking spaces will be effected. Project start is TBD.

The entire process should be completed by late May or early June as long as the weather plays to our favor.

We also want to remind you that construction noise can be stressful for some pets. If you have a fearful dog or cat, we recommend following pre-calming medication protocols to reduce noise sensitivity. Please consult with the receptionist when scheduling an appointment if you have any concerns.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facilities.

We'll keep you updated as we have more information!

Warmest Wags,
Compassion Staff

St. Patty's Day fundraiser update:
Dr. Anne and her team of leprechauns are working as fast as they can. We are making the meals as quickly as we can but the demand has surpassed Dr. Anne's ability to churn out the pies. We will continue to make dinners and contact clients as they orders are ready from thr first pick up time. If you are able to pick up closer to 6:30-7pm today or Wednesday it would give her the time to get caught up. We apologize profusely that we were unable to get these meals out during the planned time slots. We appreciate each and every client who made a donation or ordered a dinner. We appreciate your patience and waiting in the cold weather while we sort this out. Thank you for understanding.

Happy St. Patty's Day! Be blessed!
