We have a WONDERFUL local client base in our small but mighty town of East Aurora and are HONORED that we even have a number of clients who drive down from Buffalo, the Tonawandas and even further afield in the Southtowns from places like Jamestown and Rushford Lake. You choose to share your pets with us and provide us the opportunity to care for them, entrusting their health and well-being with our skilled professionals each day.

We are proud of being a privately owned veterinary practice, which is something that is diminishing each year here in WNY sadly. Our focus as a team is always bringing the highest quality care to our local community and that is why we are asking YOU to help nominate us for The Buffalo News Best of 716 Veterinarian Award!

Our sister practice Fetch The Vet Mobile Veterinary Practice made it to the Top 5 finalists in 2024 and we were SO proud of that achievement but we'd love to be voted the 'Best of 716' this year!

🐾💚💙🦬🐾🦬💚💙🐾

To help us get to the next round we ask that you begin nominating and voting for us! The nomination round is now OPEN and runs from May 28th - June 16th. If we make it to the next round then voting will run from July 14th - July 28th.

We are still seeking an Associate Veterinarian for either a Part or Full Time position for our growing and privately owned veterinary hospital!

Why choose to join our team at East Aurora Veterinary Hospital?

Our team values integrity, honesty, and accountability. We have a passion for developing trusted relationships with our clients and retaining the small town family feel to this long established hospital. Within our team we believe in collaboration and teamwork, extending beyond a job title and working together to achieve a common goal!

We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic to be a part of our hospital as it enters a new chapter in development (and renovation!) now that it is under new ownership. We are excited to be re-igniting the trust the community has in our hospital that has been serving East Aurora for just over 100 years, and as such we are seeking like minded individuals.

We are committed to providing the most advanced veterinary diagnostics and treatments in an environment of care and compassion. Our practice provides many services including wellness care, surgery, dentistry, in-house laboratory (Idexx), and imaging (advanced ultrasonography/digital radiography). We place a premium on individual care for each patient and follow low-stress handling techniques. We have the added bonus of being able to work closely with our full service sister practice - Fetch the Vet Mobile Veterinary Practice which has become very well respected within the WNY community.

The hospitals ongoing renovations are a visible sign of our commitment and vision for the full potential that our hospital has to offer. We have big plans that we look forward to sharing with you!

Our vision is to find an associate that will support our philosophy and become a part of our hospital right in the heart of the village. Excellent opportunities exist for a compassionate individual to develop long-term professional relationships with a dedicated team and loyal clientele.

As we are re-developing the hospital, it is also an opportunity for us to actively encourage colleagues with additional interests or qualifications to join our team. We would enthusiastically welcome applications from those certified in acupuncture or rehabilitation, those that have interest in exotics species care and/or interest in small ruminant/poultry medicine. There is an increasing demand locally within our client base for such services and these are areas we would be keen to develop. We would provide you with the support needed to further your interest in these areas of medicine and to establish them as integral services offered within our hospital.

We are very open to welcoming a NEW GRADUATE into our hospital as we have an experienced team and can provide plenty of mentoring. Candidates must have good communication skills and be comfortable with routine surgeries and dentistry (mentoring available for new graduates).

There would also be the option to work between both our brick and mortar hospital and mobile veterinary practice for the right candidate if desired. Enjoy a flexible schedule and only a 4 day work week!

Compensation Package:

- Salary commensurate with experience

- Starting at 160 hrs PTO

- SIMPLE IRA or Roth IRA Plan with employer matching (3%)

- Health Insurance (Medical / Vision / Dental)

- Employer Paid Basic Life Insurance

- CE Allowance

- Professional Dues (DEA/AVMA/PLIT etc)

- Uniform

Please submit both a resume and cover letter expressing why you feel you would be an asset to our veterinary team when applying for the position. Email your application to [email protected] for the attention of Dr Jenni & Jim Tudini.

They’re back!!! Black Fly Season is officially back and will likely last for the next few weeks. Each year we get many calls from concerned owners regarding these marks that appear quickly on their dogs.

These classic circular red marks are caused by Black Flies. Dogs usually get them while laying outside in the grass. They will therefore usually be found on the abdomen and inner thighs of your dog if you find them. They do not appear to cause discomfort and will fade after a few days. We are happy to report that for these bites no treatment is needed and they usually heal naturally without any intervention!

Feel free to share this post to help provide others with this useful information on a common issue we see during spring each and every year.

This is just a friendly reminder to make sure your pet is on flea and tick prevention. Ticks are very active in Spring and Fall and we have been seeing an abundance of them recenty. If your dog has been bitten we recommend testing for tick borne diseases such as Lyme, ehrlichiosis and Anaplasmosis 6-8 weeks after the bite. There are many forms of preventions including oral medications, topicals and collars. Happy Spring and go Sabres!

Pre-operative screening is something we take seriously to try and minimize any surgical or anaesthetic complications. Following bloodwork undertaken by Dr Noah with our sister practice Fetch The Vet Mobile Veterinary Practice in preparation for dental work, ‘Wyatt’ was found to have a notable increase in one of the cardiac screening values that could signal underlying heart disease. As a result it was advised that he be referred internally to Dr Jenni in order to perform an echocardiogram to assess the structure of his heart further.

‘Wyatt’ came to see us yesterday and was a true Super Hero with a cape to go with it! He was so nervous before his echocardiogram but he was a trooper and laid so well during his scan. We were able to get a thorough assessment of his heart done and now we await the report to come back through from the cardiologist. Hopefully we can get the all clear for surgery and bring back his pearly whites!
