✨ Jer 29:11 The Lazy L Ranch is a fully functioning horse center that provides horse boarding, training, lessons and summer camps for kids. It is a first class small facility designed with you and your equi

ne friend in mind. The main barn has 5 12X24 indoor stalls with 32' runs. All stalls are matted with auto water and fans for hot summer days. The second barn has 5 mare motel type stalls with oversized paddocks. The Lazy L Ranch is one of the only boarding facilities that has lush green pasture turn outs for your horse. The Arena is a large dressage arena with masonry sand and rubber that makes your horse move with the most grace and comfort, a 40' ft round pen for starting young horses or a simple lunge is available to you at any time. Our trainers specialize in starting young horses to go in any discipline. Training is done with love, trust and reward. Our trainers have competed in numerous types of riding 3-day eventing through preliminary level, roping and barrel racing with the ICA, reining, bronc riding and cutting. With this extensive background in so many different disciplines our trainers combine all of them to create a very broke and supple horse that trusts and understands it’s rider. Our trainers can teach riders from the very beginning through advanced levels. The Lazy L Ranch is a fun filled horse center that prides itself on maintaining class and proper horsemanship. ❤️Our gotcha days- 🛢️🐎 but this one isn’t for horses it’s for very beginner riders that said they wanted to become competitors!

🤠Feb 16th, 2026 was Isla’s first lesson here. Her dad had messaged me and said his daughter wanted to learn to barrel race. Last night was in fact her second rodeo ~ as a contestant placing 3rd 18.702.
She has the drive and the want and boy did she show up. Night one was a tough one she lost her balance coming around the 1st and about flew out of her saddle off the horse and she somehow managed to recover and stay on her horse (to me that right there was a WIN in itself) but everything was just wrong going forward, she knocked the 2nd (28.523 including - putting her dead last 😢), but she came across that eye and she finished! I couldn’t settle for this. She’s worked too hard for this. She got robbed! Not a tear in her eye, she knew she had some work to do and good news, I tell the girls there is ALWAYS another rodeo! She kept her head up and was still smiling and congratulated all the others on their runs.
I later asked her dad and said you should see if there are any spots open for night 2 and if she could enter. It never hurts to ask and he said “we are supposed to go to McCall” 🙄. You know I wasn’t a fan of that answer, but respected the choice and let it go. I did have to put a side note in that- as I had to tell him I would not and could not be able to be there if they went on night 2 but my daughter could come and help be a voice and check tack and cinches etc… before they ran. He clearly chewed on the info for a bit asked his daughter if she wanted a redemption round. I’d say 3rd place is a pretty good redemption from dead last! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥While she’s still working through some things with her horse and figuring each other out, holy smokes this team has maybe been riding together for about 3 months and is just getting started and going to CRUSH it! I can’t wait to see where they go!

🤠March 18, 2025 was Julie’s first lesson here after coming from another facility and not fully comfortable with horses at the time. I recall her first time in the barn the horse had an itch and she jumped and pretty much booked it out of the barn and I’m not going to lie I was like oh dear we’ve got a lot of work to do. Julie and her mom both had a lot to learn but they both got in there and they learned it all, did it all, and boy Julie has certainly come a very long way. 2025 was her learning year and 2026 we worked on all the things to get her to this very moment…
Her first buckle! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I’m so proud of both of these girls, they have come a long way in a short amount of time. Their hard work and dedication has paid off.

Both of these girls show up for lessons week after week and put in the work doing drill after drill in the cold and heat and even help around the barn.
This is what grit and true cowgirls are made of right here. I cried happy tears when they FaceTimed me last night. They were actually big ugly tears of joy. I was ugly crying last night. 😭😭😭 So freaking proud!!! They both deserved this. Isla needed a redemption run in a bad way and I’d say from dead last to 3rd was definitely it, and while Julie’s run was pretty night one placing her in 4th 16.668. I knew she could do it and she did, she beat her own time 16.398 night two bringing home the big W!
We went over a few minor tweaks I wanted her to change and with some extra determination she handled it. 💪🏼

Way to go girls! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Enjoy the ride because with the wins and the highs of this very humbling sport, will also come the lows. Keep your head up and keep smiling… because there IS always another rodeo. 😘
