🐾 September is Animal Pain Awareness Month! 🐾
Did you know that our pets are REALLY good at hiding pain? Unlike humans, they can't tell us, “Hey, my hip hurts today.” Instead, pain often shows up as small changes in their everyday behavior.
Keep an eye out for signs like:
🐶 Reluctance to climb stairs, jump, or play
🐱 Hiding more than usual
🛏️ Sleeping more or having trouble getting comfortable
🍽️ Changes in appetite
💤 Decreased energy or interest in favorite activities
😠 Irritability or unexpected changes in behavior
🦴 Limping, stiffness, or difficulty getting up
👅 Excessive licking of a particular area
One of the biggest clues? A change from what is normal for YOUR pet.
Pain isn't always obvious—and your pet doesn't have to be crying or limping for something to be wrong. ❤️
This Animal Pain Awareness Month, take a few minutes to think about your pet's normal routine. If you've noticed a change, don't ignore it. Pain is treatable, and your veterinary team can help!
🐾 Because our pets deserve to feel as good as they make us feel.
