Huge Shout Out To Jeni Grogan-Ellis & her kiddos for showing at the The Schaticoke Fair!!!!

I sold Jeni 3 Muscovys Ducks about 7 months ago during our Month Of March Sale. She wanted her kids to know about agriculture and experience it themselves.

Once they learned about ducks however they didn't want them... they NEEDED them 😂.

Then I open my FB Messager to a mom who wanted to suprise her kids for Easter with a few ducks of their own!

Most times you hand the ducks, they hand you the money, and you don't speak again and just see ducks on Facebook from time to time. But this is not how The McEvilly Homestead works, we want to make sure you have all the knowledge you need to properly take care of your new friends and make sure the animals go into a good home.

When I saw Jeni's set up of Facebook I knew these ducks were going to a loving home where they will be cherished forever!

When I heard they were going to be showing at the Schagicoke Fair I HAD to come and visit them. I'm so proud of her kiddos and happy that my ducks are able to be someone else's and teach more people about Muscovys and Agriculture.

No tired like fair week tired

The Washington County Fair was amazing this year! With the JR. Committee I was able to encourage others to join the committee, spread the word of our mission, and gain more members!

With showing Cucumber, the Ducks, and bringing the ducklings I was able to teach people about Waterfowl, Peahens, and how fast ducklings actually grow.

With showing in the 4H building I learned what I need to improve on my photography, crafts, and public speaking.

With helping out in the Rabbit tent I was able to make up my mind on showing Rabbits next year.

And volunteering at the 4H food booth & building helped me learn more about 4H in a whole!

Thank you to the Poultry Barn Superintendents Tamara Lawton Bentley & Heidi Wade for teaching me and helping me improve!

Thank you Mandy Williams Benson for being the best dorm mommy 😏

Thank you Terry Catellier, Briana Putnam , and Morgan Catellier for keeping me involved

EP 22 : Drop off!

The fair starts TOMORROW!!!!

These animals don't just spawn in their cages, we put 15 birds in the back of my dad's truck and drove these little guys down. Before putting any bird in the barn you have to get cleared by one of the Superintendents. They look over your bird and make sure they aren't sick and they won't spread diseases to other birds.

They you pop em in their cage and your good too go!

I think this is going to be the last EP of this series, thank you to everyone for supporting me and whatch them all! Comment if you've been here since day 1!

EP 21 - Exhibition Day!!!

The fair is in TWO DAYS which is insane.

Today the Youth brings their Non animal exhibits and presents them to the Judges and get their prizes!

I got all blues and one of my things might be going to state!!!!!

The Junior Committee also had a "Fix - It" Table in case anything got broken during transport we would do our best to fix it.
