I have no words. When they walked out with Paisley she was all perky, happy and acting herself! She of course was more excited to see her Grammy!

She got a burger and chicken nuggets and ate everything, even the bun! She wants to go go go! Im blown away! The mass and infection must’ve been so painful bc she is full of so much joy now.

We still haven’t gotten results back so we’re not out of the woods yet. Hopefully she won’t have any more surgeries.

Thanks again for the love and support. I know everyone loves my little shadow and she sure knows it!

Paisley is out of surgery. Everything went well! Dr Allen went in and looked at her leg after amputation and saw the mess in there. There was puss, some sort of septic infection that was basically eating at her bone as well as the cancer. He took a sample to see what kind of antibiotic would be effective for that. We should have results back by Friday.

She is staying the night tonight to be monitored and I can hopefully pick her up first thing in the morning. We still have a very long road ahead once we find out the results and which direction to go.

Dr Allen said that even though the cancer wasn’t showing up on scans in other parts of her body, it still may be microscopic and not showing up so he is thinking he may start her on chemo.

My little tripod won’t be climbing her favorite mountain (Rocky) anymore and she’ll be a little princess and be in a carrier on our future hikes. I’m so happy I have so many memories and photos with my little adventure girl. She sure has been on many in the last 10 years!

I still have not heard from guardian about anything.

Update on the Paisley baby. I have not heard back from Guardian about the results. Her leg has grown so much in the past few days I called Countryside to see if we can do the surgery there ASAP. I got a call back almost immediately that Dr. Allen can do her surgery. I said great! When? She said tomorrow morning in Lowville. I was blown away and so grateful! So tomorrow, my little girl will become my little tripod. Please have good thoughts for her! I’m incredibly worried it has spread far and wide in a week since her leg has gotten so big. Picture on the left is how much it’s grown! 😭

Update on little ween! We spent the entire day before sunrise and well after sunset traveling and a whole lot of waiting around waiting for results yesterday. It was torture not knowing anything for over 5 hours after they took her in for testing.

She got a full body CT scan and found obviously that her bone is disintegrating in her leg from the cancer. They took samples of her leg and her chest to see what kind of cancer is in her leg and how to go forward treating it. The chest/lung looked possibly like it was an infection and he put her on antibiotics. Let’s hope this clears up!!! But, it sounds like 99.9% sure her leg will be amputated. My little baby will be a mini tripod. We will know more at the end of the week when the results get back but we have a very long/rough road ahead.

Thank you all for the texts, messages and donating to her. I’m not sure how we will get through it all but I know I’ll do everything I can to make my girl comfortable and herself again.

Maggie on the other hand had a blast on her road trip, got to go to multiple doggie parks meeting new friends, traveled around Connecticut and all the narrow roads with tons of birdies to watch. She was just the bestest little pup for being in the car for 18 hours! Both girls got a much well deserved burger of course! Please keep paisley in your thoughts and hope for the best news this week. Thank you all again!

As I sit here with my most prized possession, my whole world, my bestest buddy, the best thing that ever happened to me sitting on my lap….it’s incredibly difficult to put into words how our world basically shattered with the news we got today. But I know how every single person that has met paisley fell in love with her instantly. How could you not? She has a pretty big fan base everywhere she goes.

After paisleys last episode, she was great for a few weeks. The meds did the trick. But then the last few days she was not using her back leg at all. After the vet visit today and X-rays, we got the terrifying news that paisley has bone cancer. After doing more scans to see if it was anywhere else, they found another mass in her chest. Amputation would have been an option if we knew what was going on in her chest. The next step is a referral for a specialist. We will know more once we have that appt but as of right now, they were not optimistic and it’s growing quickly. Please keep paisley in your thoughts as I’m not sure how we are going to get through this. Paisley says hi and she loves yall! 🐾

It sure was a hairy, brushing for hours kind of day! Meet Lady (husky) and Ziva (Sheppard) These girls did so well grooming! Well, with a lot of whining and being dramatic of course! 🤣
