NWI STORM RELIEF — FREE PET FOOD PANTRY! 🩶
Silverstray Social is teaming up with Rescue Pack & Huckleberry's Snack Shack to help pet families impacted by the recent storms throughout .
While their primary access-to-care programs serve Gary pet families, they are removing jurisdictional restrictions for this special storm-relief event. If you’ve been affected and some pet food would help take one thing off your plate, come see!
🐾 No registration necessary
🐾 Open to ALL communities
🐾 Drive-through, please remain in your vehicle
🐾 First come, first served while supplies last
They’ll also be providing take-home information on low-cost vaccines, spay/neuter, veterinary care, and personal/community resources available throughout the area.
The storms didn’t stop at city limits, and neither will this relief effort. Come to Gary. Let them help take care of your pet family for a minute.

3:23pm - 🙄 Due to another Comcast outage - Our internet and phones currently are disrupted and we cannot receive or make phone calls. We are working on getting that back up and running. 📣UPDATE 8/24/26!

Our phones and internet 📞📶 have been restored and we are fully back up and running!
What this means:
- Our phones are now working
- Our internet is up; meaning we are able to take credit cards again💳, take x-rays🩻, etc.

We wanted to thank everyone for their understanding and kindness during this scary time we have all had. We want to ask for everyone's continued patience as we get everything back on track with having our internet back as some things may take some time to sync and load with our operating system and software. We can't wait to see and talk to everyone again. 💜

We are still chugging along the best we can. We appreciate everyone's kindness and patience during this difficult and crazy time.

We are continuing to try our best - we still have NO PHONE OR INTERNET SERVICE 📵📶and are working off of a couple portable WIFI towers (only on a couple computers). BUT WE ARE STILL OPEN to provide service to our Dyer Animal Clinic family 🐈🐕 . As of an hour ago we were able to start getting some phone calls transferred to another phone number so hopefully anyone who needs to get in touch with us is able to do so.

I want to remind everyone that not only are our clients and the clinic still going through hard times but our staff is as well. We still currently have staff members without power, damage and flooding at their own homes. Please take the time to send thoughts, prayers, and good vibes to those in the community who are still struggling. 🙏💭

8/20/26 - 12:15PM - Unfortunately, we will be closing early today at 3PM due to the ongoing issues and repercussions of the severe weather from last week. Please head to the nearest walk-in/ER/Urgent care facility for any of your pet's needs. As of this post, we will be open at 8AM-5PM tomorrow (Friday August 21st). Apologies for any inconvenience this will cause. We continue to ask for everyone's understanding and kindness as we all continue to try to regroup and recover💜💜💜

8/18/26 WE ARE STILL OPEN AND SEEING APPOINTMENTS. 📅

Still no phones or internet. 📲❌👎 We will be contacting owners through blocked numbers, our email or through our messaging app Otto. You can also get a hold of us that same way. We are still accepting cash, check, and care credit. You can bring your credit cards and we can attempt but it has been spotty. We still request that you bring another form of payment besides credit card just in case it does not go through. Please remember that payment is due at time of service.

The estimated time to get phones and internet back is mid next week. 🤯

Current update as of today, 8/17/26:
We are still without our phones and Internet and from what we are hearing it will be at least another week. WE ARE STILL SEEING APPOINTMENTS THOUGH.
Because we have no Internet that means we are still not able to take credit cards. We are working with our IT company to try and get things figured out but in the mean time please continue to message us through here, our Otto messaging app or email ([email protected]).
Please remember that it is only cash, check or care credit. We will come out to the car when you get here and check you in.

Please also continue to be patient with us as we continue to try and navigate this.

We are here again today powering through with what we have. WE DO have open appointments today and are taking cash, check, care credit and possibly venmo - WE DON'T have any phone service, Internet and cannot take X-rays or process credit card payments.
