Crossing water and stepping over “logs”. As you can see she isn’t quite sure and is throwing some attitude. But for her first longer ride outside I can’t complain. She’s got 9 rides on her now. Lucy will be available for adoption August 23rd at the conclusion of the Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge thankful for our board sponsor Truax River Ranch!

Attention: Due to increased training requests- and last minute cancellations, Still Waters will now be requiring a non-refundable $50 booking fee due at confirmation for services for all training slots starting October 1st. Check out Dave! Dave is becoming a real joy to work with and ride. His attitude is disappearing, and he is turning into a horse that wants to be a willing partner. Little rough in his mechanics yet, but he’s turning into a really nice Horse.

Tried to spoil Lucy 😂 these ones were too big so we are ordering the correct size. But this was pretty wholesome.

Dave has really come a long way since he came in! He’s less pushy on the ground- more responsive and carrying his head lower. Yesterday he loped off without crow hopping and we swung the rope a few times. Dave is going to be a really nice horse the more he gets rode!

So Lucy and I had a bit of a wreck on Wednesday night. She flipped over on my leg after getting her legs tangled up. After a day off- we were right back to work like nothing happened. Goes to show the trust this horse has when she makes the decision to trust.

It’s a well documented fact that that I run my Cummins at about 65-70 mph. Cause I’m cheap and not in that big of a hurry. Had an out of stater not like that very much. Layed on his horn. Look. I get it. I’d be pretty pi**ed too if I had to drive a ridgeline. But my guy.. you don’t pay my fuel bill. As always just smile and wave!
