Update on Gus 🤍
We’re currently at $481.49 — I’m so grateful for every single person who’s donated or shared. You’ve already helped him so much.
We got some encouraging news from the vet: the mass is not urgent, which is a huge relief. That said, I’d really like to have it removed before he’s adopted so his future family doesn’t have to worry about it.
The surgery is estimated at $700–$1,200, and we also need additional blood work (around $200). His iron levels came back low — which could be from how underweight he was — but we want to be safe and make sure nothing else is going on.
Gus is doing AMAZING otherwise. He’s gaining weight, getting stronger, and his sweet personality is really starting to shine through.
We’re also starting e-collar training this week to help with recall and give him more freedom safely, which will be huge for his confidence and future home.
Once he’s fully recovered, he will be available for adoption 🤍
He truly deserves the best forever home.
If we don’t meet the full goal for surgery, any remaining funds will go with Gus to his new home to help support his continued care.
If you’re able to donate or share, it truly means more than you know. Every bit helps us get him one step closer to a fresh start.
Thank you for being part of his story.
