Happy Father's Day to all of our barn dads!

Whether you're hauling trunks, setting jumps, driving trucks and trailers, fixing things around the farm, holding horses, carrying water buckets, cheering at the side of the ring, or simply supporting your rider from afar, thank you.

Horses are truly a family affair, and so many of the opportunities our riders enjoy wouldn't be possible without the dads who give up early mornings, weekends, vacation days, and countless hours to help make those dreams happen.

Today we celebrate the dads who clap for every ribbon, comfort after every missed distance, and proudly watch from the rail no matter the result.

Thank you for your support, your dedication, and all the ways (big and small!) you help make our barn community special.

We had a blast Derby Mania! Despite the wicked heat, riders and horses showed up and did their best.

Liza J. and her own Holiday Road were stellar all weekend earning Reserve Champion in the 12-14 eq and Champion in the Low Child Hunters!

Pakia V. and DEC's Endless Joy had consistent success all weekend earning Reserve Champion in both the Long Stirrup Hunters AND Equitation! She was less than 1 point behind the cutoff in the Tadpole Derby.

Sophie B. and DEC's Honor had beautiful trips all weekend earning Reserve Champion in the Low Child Equitation and multiple blue ribbons in the Equitation and Hunters.

Soren C. and DEC's Stella Bianca earned a blue ribbon in the 11/u Eq and had great success in the 2ft and 2'6" jumpers including a 3rd in the speed round out of 24 entries!

Anna G. and her own Royalty Ready moved up to the Medium Ponies this weekend earning a 1st in the NCHJA Medal. The pair hacked their socks off to a 3rd place finish and earned other top ribbons in the hunters.

Hannah H. and DEC's Knock Your Sock Off had a fabulous debut at Tryon. The pair showed to much success despite the overwhelming number of FORTY-TWO entries in the Cross Rails. They even earned a 2nd in the under saddle!

Malia K. and DEC's StarLord had a great experience, learning and growing with improvement every single round. They ended the weekend with a 4th in the NCHJA Low Child Medal!

Cleo C. and DEC's Oliver Twist Z had a fun weekend with success in all 3 rings. Earning 3rd in the 12-14 eq, and a 4th in the Children's under saddle. She gave her first shot at the jumpers and despite having a rail over the last fence, had a blast. The pair is looking forward to more fun at annual!

One of the unique benefits of DEC's leasing program is the opportunity to change horses as your goals, confidence, and riding skills evolve. We want our riders to have the right partner for every stage of their journey, so we offer the flexibility to transition to a different lease horse whenever it makes sense.

Manuela has recently made the switch to Silver Coated (Orion), and we're excited to watch this new partnership develop. The pair will be competing in the Short Stirrup division this season, and Manuela will have the opportunity to learn from one of the very best teachers in the barn.

Good luck, Manuela and Orion. We can't wait to see what you accomplish together!

Ages 6-11: June 19th & 20th, 5-7pm. $190
Ages 12-60: June 20th & 21st 8-12 OR 1-5. $375 (honestly, this is one of the more affordable things you can do in the horse industry! Less than $50/hr to learn some VERY important skills!)

Raven - 2 day MTM on site lease - This darling pony is the walk/trot-short stirrup super star. She really is the best teacher and safe-safe-safe. Medium.

Maximus - 2 or 3 day on site lease - This attractive pony is certainly lazy, but oh so cute. He's a great W/T-children's pony. Lands the leads! Medium.

Lionheart - 2, 3, or full on site lease - This gorgeous pony is the best boy to ride. He loves to win and his silly personality will make you smile. W/T-children's pony. Large.

Lux - 2 day on site lease - Barbie's dream horse! He's gorgeous and talented and the blue ribbons follow him wherever he goes. Large.
