Meet Kira! This sweet girl was recently adopted through APS of Durham and came in to see us for a cough, that suspicious look tells you exactly how she was feeling about getting radiographs.
When a patient comes in coughing, x-rays help us check for a lot of possibilities: CIRDC (canine infectious respiratory disease complex), pneumonia, bronchitis, foreign bodies, fungal infections, cardiac changes, and even metastasis in more concerning cases. Ruling things in or out early means we can get to the right treatment faster.
Kira handled her visit like a champ (even though she looked kinda sus of our antics!)
