The future dog park is coming along well! Thank you to Dave Anderson for all of your hard work. There’s still a little more to do. Dave has been clearing invasive species like black locust, buckthorn, and honeysuckle, as well as clearing out the dead or dying trees such as ash and elm. There are some beautiful native trees that will make this park a great open, yet shady area. We will keep you all updated as things keep moving along. Our expected opening is still this fall 🐾

It’s been a while since we posted, but we wanted to make an update!

The Durand Dog park was approved on Monday by the Pepin County Land Conservation and Planning Department committee to build the park within Holden Park in Arkansaw. To honor this, we will be changing our name to the Durand-Arkansaw Dog Park. The park is currently being cleared of invasive species while leaving some beautiful oak, cherry, and other native trees for shade. The total size will be about 1.5 acres with hiking trails surrounding the area. We don’t have an official date for opening yet, but we are aiming for this fall. We are so grateful and thankful for everyone that has continued to support this journey 💕🐶 stay tuned for updates!
