Hey everyone! We have a few stalls opening up at our quiet 40-acre farm in Dunnellon and are looking to welcome a few more horses. ๐Ÿด

We take in horses of all ages and disciplinesโ€”retired, still in work, or just needing a soft place to land. Itโ€™s a peaceful spot, laid-back, and we treat every horse like theyโ€™re our own.

Some of what we offer:
โ€ข StableComfort stall mattresses โ€” super cushy and joint-friendly, ideal for older horses, those with arthritis, needing some recovery after a show or anyone needing a little extra support
โ€ข Fans in every stall
โ€ข Fly spray system throughout the barn
โ€ข 2 wash racks with warm water available
โ€ข Daily turnout (day or night depending on your horses needs) on big grassy pastures
โ€ข Plenty of room to ride
โ€ข Quiet, clean barn with experienced, hands-on care

Weโ€™ve got a mix of retirees and lightly ridden horses here now, but welcome all disciplines. If your horse needs a low-stress, comfort-first environment, this might be the perfect fit.

You may wonder why we pull back into the syringe when giving injections in the vein. This picture explains why. We don't pull back to make sure we're in the vessel, we do it to make sure we're in the RIGHT vessel. Today I went to give an injection and pulled back and saw blood brighter than I wanted. I decided to go and get a new dose of sedation and once again pulled back and then gave my dose of sedation. The syringe on the left was my first injection and the syringe on the right was my second injection. Does anyone know why I shouldn't have injected that first syringe? And had I injected that first injection, what would have happened?
