Just a reminder that Mr. Parmesan will be available for adoption starting in June once he’s fully healed from his neuter. Mr. Parm is estimated to be around 4–6 years old — truly the perfect age where the wild puppy energy starts transitioning into a calmer, more mature companion. He still loves to play and show the play yard who’s boss, but cuddling up for naps is definitely his favorite pastime. 💛

Mr. Parmesan has adjusted beautifully in foster care and has been exposed to dogs, cats, children, and chickens. He’s a smart, eager-to-learn boy who would thrive with a patient family willing to continue his training and help build his confidence. While he does well with other dogs, he would do best in a home with fewer than three dogs and without chickens, rodents, or other small animals.

As many of you know, Your Pet Au Pair is a business — not a 501(c)(3) rescue — which means I don’t qualify for grants or vouchers. Every bit of Mr. Parmesan’s care has come directly out of pocket, including vaccines, flea treatment, neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, and more. Because of that, he will have an adoption fee to help recoup some of those costs so I can continue helping future rescues that come my way.

I won’t make a single profit from him, and honestly, that’s more than okay with me if it means Mr. Parmesan never has to be an outdoor dog covered in fleas again and instead gets the loving life every sweet Poodle deserves.

He will always have a spot here, and I’ll forever be rooting for him. 🐾

If adopted locally, he will also receive discounted services through Your Pet Au Pair.

Brisket Update 🐾

Today was a big day for Brisket! We made a trip to the vet and got some answers about his itchy skin along with getting his shots & some tests done. He has a skin infection, so he’s now on medication and on the road to feeling much more comfortable.

The good news is that despite everything he’s been through, Brisket is in great spirits and soaking up all the love and care he can get. ❤️

Our next goal is helping him gain a few much-needed pounds. Once he’s at a healthier weight, we’ll get his neuter scheduled and continue checking off all the boxes to give him the fresh start he deserves.

Thank you to everyone who has followed his journey, shared his story, donated, and cheered him on. Every kind word and every dollar has helped make this possible.

Brisket is safe. Brisket is healing. And Brisket’s best days are still ahead of him. 🐩✨🐾

🐾 Meet Brisket 🐾

A few days ago, I got tagged, messaged and called by anyone and everyone about a neglected poodle who needed help. I had already offered free grooming to the owner, but after seeing his condition, you know I needed to get him. The owner did surrender him over to me.

When I picked him up, he was covered in fleas, matted from head to toe, uncomfortable, and clearly hadn’t been receiving the care every dog deserves. His coat was so impacted that the only humane option was to start fresh.

Despite everything he’d been through, Brisket has been nothing but sweet.

After a much-needed groom, lots of TLC, and a safe place to land, he’s already feeling so much better. He still has a journey ahead of him that includes vaccinations, veterinary care, and being neutered, but for the first time in a long time, he gets to be comfortable.

This handsome guy is now officially in my care, and I’ll be sharing updates as he settles in and starts his next chapter.

Welcome to your fresh start, Brisket. ❤️

Sometimes a Facebook scroll changes everything.

I saw a post about a standard poodle that needed a home because his coat had become too much to manage. One look at the photos and I hopped in the car.

What I picked up was a sweet boy buried under months of matting, fleas, and discomfort. What walked out of the grooming room was a dog who could finally move, stretch, and breathe a little easier.

Several pounds of coat later, countless fleas evicted, and one very overdue spa day complete. ✨

His journey isn’t over yet. He still needs a veterinary exam, vaccinations, testing, and neuter surgery.
If anyone would like to help with his medical expenses, any donation is greatly appreciated and will go directly toward his care. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post helps more than you know.
