SO excited to have these dogs and their humans enrolled in Private Lessons and Day School!

Every dog brings their own personality, strengths, and challenges to their training program. That’s why every program is customized to fit your dog’s needs! This crew is working on everything from foundations to separation distress to reactivity, and I’m so looking forward to helping each team build better communication, more confidence, and stronger relationships with their people.🫶🏼

🐾 Private Lessons offer personalized, 1:1 coaching for you and your dog, with practical tools and a clear plan to work toward your goals.
🐾 Day School offers a heavier lift with structured, trainer-led sessions that help your dog develop skills, build consistency, and learn to navigate the real world. Lessons are included so the learning can translate back home!

And, a little heads-up for 2027: service pricing will be increasing in the new year. If training has been on your mind, now is a great time to reach out, discuss your goals, and get a plan in place before the new rates take effect!

October is here and our 2nd annual Howl-O-Ween party is coming up!🎃👻

Kick off your Halloween weekend with a pet costume contest, a spooky dog treat bar, and themed photo ops. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided for the humans, too!

The party runs from 4-7pm on Friday, October 30th. Pop by when you can, and stay for as long as you’d like! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome, and costumes are encouraged for both pups AND their people.

Advance registration is required. Registration includes admission for one (1) dog and two (2) handlers. Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve yours today!👇🏼

Take a breath.

I know sometimes it feels like you should be further along. Like your dog should be listening more, behaving better, or that you both should somehow have it all figured out by now.

But progress isn’t linear! There will be good days and frustrating days. Days when things click, and days when your dog makes you question whether they’ve learned anything at all.

You’re figuring out how to communicate through words and movement, how to advocate, how to set boundaries, how to meet their needs, and how to help them navigate a world that doesn’t always make sense to them.

Of COURSE you’re not going to get it right every single time!

But the fact that you CARE enough to reach out for support, keep learning, keep practicing, and keep showing up for your dog matters more than you probably realize.

So give yourself some credit, dog owner.
The sun will rise, and we will try again.🫶🏼

My job is to understand the dog, identify what’s driving their behavior, create a plan that fits the individual dog and family, and give owners the tools to communicate clearly and confidently.

But the real progress happens when those tools leave the training environment and become part of everyday life. The goal isn’t a dog who behaves solely for the trainer; it’s a dog who can navigate your life with more confidence, clarity, and understanding, and an owner who knows how to support that progress.

Today, we remember the people whose lives were lost on 9/11. The families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage and selflessness that followed.

Among those who answered the call were the dogs of 9/11. They followed their people into the unimaginable with unwavering loyalty. Some found survivors, some brought comfort, and many gave everything they had.

The people and the dogs who served, the lives saved, the lives lost, and the courage shown in the face of tragedy… We honor and remember them all.🇺🇸🐾

Of course, these recent graduates deserve their moment in the spotlight, too!🎓

I’m SO incredibly proud of each of these graduates, but I’m equally proud of the people standing beside them. Meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight, and it certainly doesn’t happen without commitment from both ends of the leash. The consistency, patience, and willingness to learn are what turn dog training into lasting change.

Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your training journey! Watching you grow together is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

This summer has been a BUSY one here at Dunmore Barks, helping dogs and their people build better communication, make longlasting changes, and find a rhythm that actually works for real life.

From puppyhood to big feelings, we’ve been putting in the work, overcoming challenges, celebrating wins (big or small!), and watching so many dog-human teams find their groove.
