Good job, K9 officer Storm!

🐾 Employee Recognition Announcement

On June 16, 2026, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop that ended on Eagle Point Road after the suspect abandoned a motorcycle and attempted to continue his travels on foot.

The Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office requested an additional K9 team, and K9 Storm and his handler, Sergeant Burt, responded to assist.

While the suspect believed he had successfully disappeared into the area, K9 Storm conducted an independent audit of that claim and determined it to be inaccurate.

K9 Storm successfully tracked and apprehended the suspect, bringing the incident to a swift conclusion.

As part of our ongoing commitment to recognizing exceptional employee performance, we’d like to extend a special “GOOD BOY” to K9 Storm for his outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and refusal to accept “suspect not located” as a final answer.

His compensation package is currently under review but is expected to include praise, treats, and a tennis ball.

We hope everyone enjoys their long weekend! Cooper will be spending his relaxing in the sun with some treats 😎☀️🐾
