Here’s my tip be slow to give your puppy freedom, it’s easier to give more freedom later on than to take it away and undo all the privileges or bad behaviors they practiced🫶🏼

“Our dogs live a great life”..compared to areas w more poverty who can’t provide them with shelter, food or proper medical care.

But do we ever stop and ask..is what I’m doing what they NEED? What does my dog enjoy doing biologically? What does my dog biologically need to be fulfilled physically and mentally?

Cuddles on the couch and bed are amazing but let’s not forget we live with an animal who was bred for SOMETHING. If cuddles and pets and baby talk were enough we would not run into anxiety coming up in dogs or them getting into things they shouldn’t (insert your behavior problem here)

Your dog is LOOKING for a job, help them be full filled in the ways THEY need. Not at our convenience

Normalize calm dogs🫶🏼

Many unwanted behaviors stem from over arousal. As owners we need to challenge our dogs to practice their “off switch.” After proper physical and mental fulfillment of course🤍

Last year cash would NOT jump up on these, today he climbed a few and did some hard things at a socialization class.

It can be intimidating to challenge both your dog and yourself in those hard moments but I guarantee you nothing feels better than seeing your work come to fruition especially when your dog is feeling better about things they couldn’t handle before. Love you cashy, thank you for growing with me💙

This owner legit thought something was wrong with her dogs hearing & eye sight which obviously pug* makes sense! But really they just needed a simple and consistent way of communicating AKA leash pressure!

This is what I mean when I say don’t repeat and maybe your dog is having trouble pairing all of the thousand words we use day to day to what we want them to do!

One session down and look at him offering eye contact without being asked 🥹💛
