Some reports of adverse events after Librela administration in dogs. Librela is a monoclonal antibody injection used to treat arthritis pain.

A similar treatment ‘Solensia’ for cats has not had reports of unusual adverse events.

Veterinarians and pet owners are reporting adverse events associated with the use of Librela, a drug made by Zoetis to manage osteoarthritis pain in dogs, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Cats are particularly sensitive to the Avian Influenza virus. They can be exposed through contact with birds or raw foods. Current recommendations are to avoid feeding any raw or freeze dried foods to cats to avoid potential infection.
Dogs can also become sick with Avian Influenza but at this point it seems to be rare.
