Air quality doesn’t just affect people, it affects our pets too! During this time, it’s important to check the Air Quality Index (AQI) daily and take the necessary steps to avoid prolonged exposure to poor air quality for yourself and your pets. 🐾🐾❤️

When the AQI is unhealthy: keep walks short, bring outdoor play indoors, and keep windows closed to reduce smoke and pollution exposure. Watch for coughing, difficulty breathing, excessive panting, or unusual fatigue. If your pet develops these symptoms, contact your veterinarian.

To keep your pet occupied with extra indoor time, consider long-lasting treats, interactive puzzles or treat dispensing toys. Need help finding the right activity? Stop by the store and our staff would be happy to help you out!

A little extra love and care on poor air quality days can help keep your furry family members healthy and happy while indoors. Thank you to all those who are working to minimize the impacts of the wildfires up north and keeping our communities safe. ❤️

Tick season is here, help keep your pets protected!

Ticks can transmit diseases to both dogs and cats, but tick prevention goes a long way. Both internal and external forms of protection are recommended to keep ticks away.

If your pet is already taking an ingestable form of tick prevention, a tick spray or shampoo can take it a step further to help repel.

Check your pet for ticks after spending time outdoors, especially around the ears, neck, paws, and under the collar. If you find a tick, remove it promptly. We carry a few different removal tools that can make it quick and easy to remove ticks.

A few minutes of prevention can help keep your furry friend healthy, happy, and ready for every adventure!
