This is the kind of news that deserves a happy dance. ❤️🐾
Every single beagle at Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin is now FREE.
For years, the facility bred beagles for biomedical research.
After years of advocacy, legal work and rescue efforts, the facility has shut down and the final dogs have been moved out.
Georgia-based Bosley’s Place was part of that rescue effort.
The founder, Jennifer, is INCREDIBLE.
She first traveled to Wisconsin in April hoping to bring beagles home.
She came back without any.
So she went back.
In May, Bosley’s Place brought home 20 beagles.
I was lucky enough to meet two of them!
Then in June, the rescue was invited back as one of the trusted rescue partners and brought home six more.
That’s 26 beagles who are now safe.
And yesterday, the very last beagle left Ridglan Farms.
There’s still work to do. Those 26 dogs need forever families, and other dogs in commercial breeding facilities are still waiting for their chance.
But for the beagles of Ridglan, this chapter has a very happy ending.
They’re free. ❤️🐾
