Three Blind Mice and darn!socks cat toys are hand crafted by Melissa Boyle whose craftiness comes by way of 10 summers as the “craft lady” at a Lake Michigan summer camp. Melissa has now settled in Duluth on the shores of Lake Superior where she brings joy to felines far and wide and keeps countless old holey socks out of the landfill. Making cat toys out of old socks is not quite what she planned

to do with an expensive degree in Environmental Studies. Yet feline fans across the country are proof that cats want an alternative to the Made in China toys sold at big box stores. When not making mice making, Melissa enjoys cooking, gardening, chicken watching, and teaching her feline assistants Aven and Itty Bitty to do the laundry instead of just testing the cat toys!

Swap your gently used arts and craft supplies! It's time to let go of all your tools and materials that have been gathering dust and find new creative inspiration!

August 3 - 16: Donations of fine art supplies, fiber arts, paper crafts, pottery tools, printing supplies, instructional books, hand tools, organizers, and more will be collected at donation sites all around town: Duluth Public Library, Creations Quilt Shop, HobbyTown Hermantown, the Resource Renew Materials Recovery Center, StitchCraft Quilt Factory, and Yarn Harbor!

August 21-22: Join us at Flock Artfest to shop the free store of donated items (donation not required to take items home)!

Duluth friends, want to be a cat foster family?

🐾 Become a Wired Whisker Cat Foster! 🏡💙

Love cats but aren't ready to adopt? You can make a life-changing difference by becoming a foster for Wired Whisker cats through our incredible rescue partner, Pet Haven!

Some of our cats discover that while the cat lounge helps us get to know them, they'd truly thrive in a quieter home environment while waiting for their forever family. That's where you come in.

We're currently looking for fosters located in or around Duluth, MN (Twin Ports), so they're close to our cafe and veterinary partner if appointments or supplies are needed.

✨ As a foster, you'll provide:
🐱 A safe, loving home
💕 Socialization, patience, and affection
🏡 A quiet place for them to decompress and shine

We've got the rest covered!
✔️ All veterinary care is provided.
✔️ Food, litter, and other approved supplies are covered, so you can focus on giving your foster kitty love and care.
✔️ You'll have a direct line of communication with owner of Wired Whisker, Misha, as your foster mentor throughout the process.

If you've ever wondered what fostering is like, this is a wonderful way to help save lives without the lifelong commitment of adoption.

Juniper and PK are testing out our basement cot set up. Today’s high is 94° and tomorrow’s high is 99°!! So much for cooler by the lake. Like a lot of old Duluth houses we do not have air-conditioning. So we do a little basement camp out each summer when it gets too hot.
