Dougherty Veterinary Clinic will be CLOSED Monday May 25th in observation of Memorial Day.

We will resume our regular hours Tuesday May 26th at 8am.
Please make sure you plan ahead for food and medication pick up!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
At Dougherty Veterinary Clinic, we celebrate by talking about diseases (and eating, of course)

One disease we’ve been diagnosing more frequently in our area is Blastomycosis (Blasto): a serious fungal infection commonly found in the soil of the Midwest, especially near waterways and wooded areas.

Dogs are most commonly affected, but cats and even humans can get it too. (In fact, 1 of 3 cats that are diagnosed with Blasto are prominently indoor!)

Early diagnosis matters! While this disease can progress rapidly, timely testing and medical intervention increases the success of treatment.

If your pet has persistent respiratory signs or just “isn’t acting right,” especially after outdoor exposure, it’s worth getting checked out.

We need the community’s help! One of our client’s beloved German Shepherd, Kaya, went missing.
She went missing from Esko, somewhere around Erickson Rd. She is not wearing a collar or identification.

DO NOT CHASE OR YELL, she may be frightened. If you see her or she comes to you, please call our clinic so we can give you the owner’s contact information.
