HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO MY GROOMINGDALES FAMILIES!!
So much to celebrate! Two hundred -fifty years of our Independence!! A lot of festivities happening throughout our country! A special shout out to All Military Personnel, past and present, All Police Officers, Fireman, EMT's and 1st responders for risking their lives to give us our Freedom and to keep our Lives and Land Safe! My Gratitude and Eternal Thanks to you all!!🇺🇲🫡
Please remember during the holiday celebrations our Fur babies! As much as we may love the fireworks most of our Paw Pals Do Not! It creates Fear, Anxiety and can be extremely painful to their sensitive ears! So please be kind!
I would also like to share how important this Independence Day is to me this year! I have been truly blessed and I have 3 particular reasons to share!
1) I actually made it to 65yrs old this year! A huge triumph for me because I was fearful of not even reaching the age of 60! Reason being...
2) At 59 yrs old I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer! Dec 26th, 2019, I started with a regiment of 6 weeks of radiation daily combined with 2 weeks of chemo! After that came 18 months of immunotherapy infusions! Then to have CT scans regularly for 5 more years of being in remission! So finally after that I can say I am cancer free! I received that news last month so my WOO HOO DAY has Arrived!! Being 65 and Cancer Free is My Independence Day!!
With that being said I need to Thank the Staff at Dub VA Clinic, IA City Hospital Staff in the Radiation Department and of course the Awesome staff at the VA IA City Hospital! Also Honorable Mentions are My Family, My Friends and All of Groomingdales Families for the continued prayers, positive vibes and support! You all have made the difference in my life! Now that is a WOO HOO!! As life continues I now celebrate the next up coming chapter, reason #3!
3) Combining reason 1 and reason 2 this is my decision! After 41 years of grooming I have decided to slow down, take more time to spend with family and friends, travel more and to just enjoy life as life is meant to be. I believe they call that retiring! While this has been a very tough decision for I would Never leave Groomingdales Families without a back up plan! For my whole life depended on your loyalty to me! Groomingdales will continue and has a beautiful and bright future! As of January 1st 2027 the new owner will be Miranda Thomas DBA Groomingdales LLC! I feel very confident that Groomingdales will continue to be in the hands of a well qualified, responsible, loving, caring and experienced groomer! Miranda has 10 years of experience and shines with the modern techniques of grooming! I know everyone will give Miranda and her little fur baby, Boogie, a very warm welcome! I am looking forward to watching Groomingdales to continue to flourish!!
So in conclusion, I Wish Everyone A Fantastic Independence Day and May It Be As Special For You As It Is To Me!!
