This year’s 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲 marks the 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲, as the Department of Animal Sciences moves in a new direction and location for its equine programming.

For many years, the Buckeye Bonanza has provided students with 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. The success of this event has been made possible through the dedication of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters, who helped make it a signature experience within our equine program.

The Buckeye Bonanza Horse Sale has generated more than $400,000, with proceeds directly supporting equine programming in the Department of Animal Sciences. As we look ahead to new opportunities to provide innovative and meaningful experiential learning opportunities for our students, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹.
