Teaching birds who are scared to step up is a tedious process!

🦜Subscribe to me on YouTube at ✨KGN Animal Culture✨ where I will be starting a series on my training with my sun cheek conure Sol.

🦮Not a bird owner? I’ll be doing other videos with animals, forestry, and education in the southern Illinois area!

🐊Eventually I plan to branch out and do more wildlife conservation programs across the US.

Did you know that no parrot is domesticated?

🦜Although parrots can be born and raised within captivity their genetics still align with their wild counterparts.
🦉domestication is a lengthy process where humans specifically breed animals for certain traits resulting in genetic change.

🦜With birds we apply a form of taming, which is the (typically ethical) way of forming a bond of trust with a parrot.
