**ALL THAT HAIR HAS TO GO SOMEWHERE! ๐พ**
If your dog has a double coat, regular deshedding is about much more than keeping loose hair off your floors and furniture. Itโs an important part of keeping their skin and coat healthy and comfortable!
Dogs like Golden Retrievers, Labs, Huskies, Shepherds and many other double-coated breeds naturally shed their undercoat throughout the year. When that loose undercoat isnโt properly removed, it can become packed against the skin, trap heat and moisture, restrict airflow, and make it harder for the coat to do its job.
A professional deshed helps remove that dead, impacted undercoat while leaving the healthy coat intact. Bathing with the right products, thoroughly drying the coat, and brushing out all that loosened hair can make a HUGE difference.
And during our hot and muggy summers, staying on top of that undercoat is especially important. Swimming, beach trips, humidity and playing can all contribute to coat buildup if your pup isn't properly bathed, rinsed, dried and brushed afterward.
A healthy double coat shouldnโt automatically be shaved for summer โ it should be **clean, conditioned, thoroughly dried and properly deshedded.**
Look at that gorgeous coat! ๐
